Every week I run farther than I did the last week. Today I ran 20km.

I've never been a runner. Team sports player, yes, but not a runner. Running has become fun, especially those 8 and 10 km runs that would have had me collapsing last Spring.
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

5 weeks since I started, finally passed the halfway point of DoD! This calls for a celebratory rest to ease up on the work induced eye strain. I whinged a bit through the previous 2 books (TtH and RG), this one is a corker again :(

Had an chat with a Hare Krishna today. We talked about being a hippy mostly, then he tried to sell me a book. I've never met a Hare Krishna before, so the novelty was refreshing.

When are you seeing them? I know Slayer just delayed their Halifax show (Nov 9th) due to health issues so if your concert is anywhere near that time you might want to double check.

Did pretty well in my Waterstones interview I think :( Well, persuaded one of the staff to try Erikson anyway!

8 months working on a really fiddly difficult and complex experiment. Nobody in my group can do it or give any advice on what to try. Today I FINALLY cracked it! I am a molecular biology Tyrannosaur (barring the 8 months of it not working of course).

I got a £30 amazon gift voucher for my birthday back in August from a very good friend, and I am plotting how to spend it. Gathering Storm and Best Served Cold, I'm thinking, and then I'll still have £10 left over!

Ahaha, Retribution Falls, Best Served Cold and Orbus will soon be on their way to me, for a total cost of zero. Brilliant :D -_-

Nice Broody, free stuff is always more enjoyable (see: food. -_-). I went charity shop browsing today and bought a bunch of novels. If one or two of them are good I will be happy cos none of them was over £2. One of them was Feersum Enjin by Iain M Banks and I love him so I am looking forward to reading that one. :D

I'm not sure anyone has ever looked forward to reading Feersum Endjinn... it's ludicrously confusing. But good luck!

Well like I said Iain M Banks is great and one of my favourite authors so I think I might take it for Christmas reading: Long cold days with not much else going on, stick on some great music and only appear for food. -_-

Well yep.

They've delayed.

Don't know till when.

But I have a feeling it'll be a day I won't be able to go.

Weee, Monsieur PigDog got us tickets to see Green Day. Although I will probably have forgotten I like them by the time summer 2010 comes around.
