My night has turned decidedly Irish.

As always, I gave a toast to my favourite irishman with the first glass.

"To Wry, may your days be long but your *censored* be longer. May your nights be easy but your women easier. And may there forever be a painted arse upon your floor."

Saw my Osteo today. he did some painful things to my arm, but my passive extension's a lot better. He says most he can do for me is 2 more sessions.
So by the end of the week I need to get on actually scheduling physio (which the insurance will pay for.. Because they are not paying for osteo).

My long-rumbling flat saga is at an end - exchanging tomorrow and then completing a week tomorrow, moving in on 21st all being well! Can't believe how long this has taken but it feels amazing to be able to see the finish line :D

Best way to recover from a marathon writing session - a nice, cozy nap, then a nice hot cup of dark strong coffee, and Leonard Cohen. A voice like velvet

The first house I built in the subdivision i'm developing is under contract. And i hadn't even listed it yet!

Plus, they want the basement and the garage finished, so we can finish those while they're pouring the basement and delivering materials for the next one.

Went to the Orthopaedist yesterday to get my shoulder checked out (It had been bothering me for almost a month and interfering with my lifting), got a Cortisone shot and not even 24 hours later my shoulder feels brand new! Did some light lifting today and my shoulder mobilitiy is better than before the shot and felt great.

The change there is the lack of pain - which means that whatever was bothering you is probably NOT fixed, just masked. Tread carefully with the cortisone.

I have bicep tendonitis and bursitis which cortisone shots apparently sometimes help fix, but yeah I'm going to take it easy. Rather take it slow now and avoid future issues.

Life is too short to be in pain all the time. But if you're in pain all the time, getting to the underlying issue is way better than addressing the pain specifically.

Good luck. Tendonitis is something I'm familiar with. Ugh.

Here's hoping it helps, Azathmaster.

Went for a swim last night and managed 1.85 k in the hour, which is almost back to normal. I'd have probably done the full 2 klicks, but at the 1.5 mark I went back to "moderate" lane to do some elbow-specific stuff (only flutter with outstretched arms + back stroke on the way back), which is obviously much slower than my "power" routine of 100m breast + 400m front crawl.

In the end even tried butterfly and got some twinging in the elbow and arm (obviously: high impact hits), but nothing long-lasting.

Looking forward to starting intense physio next week and finally fixing the issue.

I passed my securities exams!!!!!! Omg. These were the hardest tests I have taken... Definitely humbling as studied my butt off. I melted a part of my brain studying for it..

I really lucked out in starting to believe, as I dare say it my new job looks fun... Kinda hesitant to say.. Don't wanna jinx it. Amazing company.
