Ok, so I have avoided most food that is not Iranian for most of my life (my adventures include: Pizza, Pasta, Hamburgers, can't think of anything else), even during the 2 years I've been in Canada I have mostly eaten Iranian food.

There was this uni-department even with free food today (as a socialization event). I went there, and I realized the free food was basically all sushi. So I tried real sushi for the first time. I have no idea what kind of sushi I had, but it was fucking delicious. I would have never believed uncooked meat could be so delicious yesterday. Tasty food is making me happy.

It still smelled horrible though.

You know, I just realized a possible reason my ex looked wistful and sad when I dropped of the boys this weekend. That would have been the weekend we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. All I can say is, honey, should have taken care of what you had when you had it. My weekend was another girl's.

I like when doing something you really shouldn't feels like the best thing. I have drunk slightly too much wine and am staying up later than I should to watch The Wrath of Khan because FUCK YOU SENSIBLE MOTHERHOOD. My baby is awesome and all but he hasn't half been a drain on the old resources since I found out he existed 12 months ago. I have no clue how sleep deprived parents plus/minus financial worries manage to keep going. I keep yelling at Mr PigDog and it's like "I don't know what I want you to do but I want your life to be as fucked up as mine is you fucking shit".

EDIT - I don't know why this is in the happy thread. Well it's not like I'm not happy but I'm definitely mad at my ovaries.

Haha, just been a long day at work, saw a woman hit by a car this morning, and my ass hurts. It is the small things that make this a happy post.

Picky eater. Bad habit, but I won't eat anything that doesn't looks nice and smell nice. With my definitions of "nice" it means I don't eat most food. There are like 6-7 different dishes that I normally eat and that's my food life.

I can't even eat sushi if I smell it before putting it in my mouth, I was just really hungry yesterday and forgot to smell.

I know, bad habits ...

but what can I do?

Plus it ll make you hard it taste so wonderful

It all comes down to the Roux though. I love the very light roux over thick gravy dark roux(it can get to rich tasting). Rice, chicken, sausage, taso, with boiled eggs(best part). Then you put some a few scoops of potato salad on top. Harddddd

Best time to eat is in on cold winter days/nights.

I want that.

Had an interview on Monday, went really well and I have now been offered the job.

I will now be spending my foreseeable future training to become a qualified accountant :rtfm:

Challenge yourself to eat new kinds of food. That or you'll go the rest of your life missing out on so much delicious food.

Everyone, meet my baby hawk! :killingme:

She (was supposed to be a he, but we got a surprise!) doesn't have a name yet as we all have to agree. However, as one of the adult Harris Hawks is Zeus I suspect she may end up as Hera. She's the smaller of two sisters and they let me pick - the bigger one is already much more boisterous and louder, she's slightly less sure and more reserved and I fell for her.
