Job interview with CDP Red on thursday.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Last night I sat in my appartement (in my new and outrageously comfortable wing chair) with a good book. Nice jazz in the background, a good cup of tea. All the shelves are up. I've finished painting the walls. Done some small repairs here and there. The place looks good. It looks mine.

I sat there and for the first time in, well, since all that shit went down, I felt kind of at peace. Happy, I guess. I realised I felt that way and the relief that flooded through me at that thought, it made me light headed. I'm still not ok. Not by a long shot. However, I'm getting there.

Christ, thinking about anything higher than 17C puts me in a sweat.

We had about a week of low 20's last year and we found it unbearable. I'm Scottish I wasn't built for sun, ffs i get burnt standing under a 60W lightbuld lol.

I have a cold. An excellent excuse to make a chilli based stew! Habaneros, regular reds, bullets, cayenne, jalapeno, bird's eye. Ginger and lime, and some meat.

I will cleanse myself of this poison!

I worked in Fresno, California for a while. It got to 102° on occasion. I practically melted. I am a big hairy bloke born in the North in winter! Not a bronzed and beautiful Californian who likes the sun!

The weather has finally turned with the temperature dropping below 20' degrees of an evening. I think I was almost cold this morning.

I was born for colder weather. Living in Queensland is the worst. But with the current temperature drop it means I have managed three nights in a row of good, quality sleep. :)

Hasn't broken 100 yet here! last year it was 4/16..so im looking foward to a cool summer..only like 90's <34c> today.

Tubing season is here! <thats where 8-16 people..bring a obnoxious amount of liquor and beer, float and get REALLY burned..for fun!>
