We accidentally discovered today that Fiddler (our cat) will play fetch! I've never seen a cat do this before!
Also, an excellent day at the Towton battlefield celebration. Falconry, sword fighting displays, some brilliant stalls with lovely people and the re-enactment itself was pretty impressive. The Towton Battlefield Society really know their stuff - I could have talked to them for hours

Jager plays stair-tennis with us sometimes. If you get a ball, he goes to the top of the stairs. Throw it up, and he'll either bat it our of the air back at you, or catch it and then push it back down.

It's a good day today. Car is repaired for much less than I thought she'd be (that big black booty ain't never felt so sweet), MOT passed once more so she's fully road legal... Also won a tub of protein and a shirt from Sci MX (their Boss It challenge) for that 245kg deadlift. Everything is coming up Milhouse!
Although my colleague's face when Sword of Doom starts blaring out of my phone as the garage call me to tell me she's ready to pick up was a highlight in and of itself.

Just came in from the best Wing Chun lesson ever.
It wasn't anything particularly special that we trained, it just felt like it was right.
Spent all class EXPLODING forward and was told after class that it was geared towards me (there was only 2 students turned up, so this must have been an inpromptu decision by my Sifu) as the big thing that was holding me back (I didn't know he thought this, but when I searched my feelings I knew this to be true!!) was not going forward enough.
So I hope I've cracked that one. feeling quite pleased with myself.
Also, massive shepherds pie is about 20 mins from being ready.

I had my first Malazan dream last night. Quick Ben, Hedge and Kalam were teasing Fiddler about something and Fiddler was being grumpy and withdrawn. Woke up with a big stupid grin on my face.

Sadly I was at the other end of the pitch for that one so I couldn't see it too well. Got a great view of Herrera's first though!
What is making me happy today? We're heading off to Iceland for a week! Can't wait!

Much concentration required for intelligible post, face somewhat numb, Luci highly amused. Bastard.
