My wife utterly spoiled me last night with a homemade birthday dinner, the BOND 50 BluRay set, a remote control K-9 for my DW collection...and then we drank wine and watched Sean Connery be badass in high def DR. NO.

It's was a pretty stellar damned night!

Second reason for happiness: We leave early this Sunday morning for a week in the tropics!

And today it's my birthday! I'm at work which is a bit rubbish but we're having steak tonight & a bit of a shindig on the weekend. I turn 30! :s

FUCK YES!

Tori Amos's LITTLE EARTHQUAKES and UNDER THE PINK are being re-issued (probably remastered) in deluxe editions with secondary discs with collected B-sides, rarities and lives stuff (all of which I mostly have, but not remastered or collected).

Considering those two albums defined my entire teens...this is huge news for me. :(

Man that steak was good. Washing it down with a lovely glass of expensive scotch just tips it into the epic!

This came yesterday - cost me 66p plus about £2.50 in postage. By the description I expected it to be a lot more beat up than it is, but it's in 'read once or twice' condition.

Just saw the presidential motorcade go by. Police EVERYWHERE.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Seriously pondering about applying to CILEx and training to do actual legal work.

I never, ever saw this coming.

Had a couple of ace little birthday related things today. Firstly, bunch of people over my house for breakfast (I love doing breakfast for a large group) and then tonight drinks in Manchester. Dead chuffed Brood & Mrs Brood & Stone Monkey came too. Always good to see you guys!
