Following on from all my house happiness, we now live just down the road from the site of the Battle of Towton (the Wars of the Roses) - which is one of my favourite periods of history. I'mma going battlefield walking!

Also, Fiddler has yet to live up to his namesake and so far has not found a way to destroy/blow up anything. :D

This makes me both happy, and makes me laugh uproariously.

Seriously, mocking this guy for attempting to be a "revolutionary" but allowing his words to get lost in a miasma of verbal diarrhea...the most apt thing to do is shout PARKLIFE at him.

Gods, I can't stop laughing. The vines that people have crafted for this are genius!

That's brilliant QT. Russell Brand is a bit of a douche and thinks a bit much of himself (while thousands hail him as a hero of the people or some such) so that made me laugh a lot!

Sitting in the quiet night with my daughter having a beer, cant think of anything other i rather do.
They may cut your dick in half
And serve it to a pig
And though it hurts, you'll laugh
And dance a dickless jig

It's on S2 now and despite a few teeny boppy moments it's quite a cool show.

I really like it, for a CW show I am quite surprised they went into such dark territory. Almost done with s2e3 from pftv. If they avoid repeating the same theme over and over like CW does this show has plenty of content potentially to avoid that pitfall...i hope.

Though them being all beat up and bloody <cut, stabbed, broken> is getting old!

Yep, great to catch up with everyone. We need to establish a meet-up of all the northern malazans somewhere sometime.

Divers have found and recovered the ships bell from the wreck of Franklin's HMS Erebus!

The fact that they found the wreck in Sept was already amazing....170 years later...but the bell is an important piece. I hope they display it in Ottawa or Toronto so I can go see it.

It's quality not quantity TS.

I've only been to Manchester once, to heaton park on Stone Roses revival weekend.
With memories like that, why wouldn't I return?
Oh yeah.

However, what they say about the rain is true.

What do you mean? Being from/living in the North = Quality. (Doubly so if you're from Yorkshire.)

Fixed.

I reckon we could get quite a meet-up going there's quite a few northerners around, somewhere like Leeds would probably be the best place to hold it in terms of rail links to scotland and the north.

You know what they say about Yorkshiremen,
short arms and deep pockets.

A drive to Leeds is a doddle for me.
