So the gf swung right around and now is doing all kinds of research on flats, houses, shopping opportunities etc in Cork. She's becoming rather enthusiastic. I'm a really lucky bastard.

Following on from all my house happiness, we now live just down the road from the site of the Battle of Towton (the Wars of the Roses) - which is one of my favourite periods of history. I'mma going battlefield walking! 
Also, Fiddler has yet to live up to his namesake and so far has not found a way to destroy/blow up anything.

That's brilliant QT. Russell Brand is a bit of a douche and thinks a bit much of himself (while thousands hail him as a hero of the people or some such) so that made me laugh a lot!

Divers have found and recovered the ships bell from the wreck of Franklin's HMS Erebus!
The fact that they found the wreck in Sept was already amazing....170 years later...but the bell is an important piece. I hope they display it in Ottawa or Toronto so I can go see it.

I've only been to Manchester once, to heaton park on Stone Roses revival weekend.
