Just scored two tickets to a sold-out Tenacious D concert! B)

Also, my very first Malazan meet-up (with more than one person as I've met Corporal Nobbs before) starts today...super excited!!!

Flipping heck. Just saw Leprous & Haken live. Definitely worth the 4 1/2 hour drive & the fact it's now 1am and I'm up at 0530 for work.

Edit: dang autocorrect.

Damnit, I want to see Leprous again. Even though Coal was not as good as the previous albums.

Could not decide where to put this though, messing or happy thread...but since the main part of it is that it's election day in my city and we HOPEFULLY get to boot the Fords out of office (Rob's brother/city councillor Doug is running in place of the ailing mayor)...but the advance polls suggest that the person who will win it is not someone I'd vote for. Far from thinking my vote doesn't count, it just sucks to have to vote for someone when none of the candidates are REALLY the best option.

That said, very happy to see Ford Nation finally stop running our city.

Had a great weekend!

The first official multi-annual Scandinavian meet-up went most excellently (except for maybe the experimental jazz-part). No one turned out to be an axe-murderer, no one got their eyebrows singed off, no one sat in the corner and sulked. Although what people did after we parted ways I cannot say.

I bought a miniature fully-functioning trebuchet.

Also, Morgoth informed me I'm not a picky eater, I have a genetic mutation or whatever...so yay for that!

That's awesome, I want one. (Actually, I want to build one in the future, but it's probably going to look like a home build one)

So, for me, it has been two weeks since I broke up with my girlfriend. Things are settling down now and I actually feel happy. I've even been asked to go out on a date (I turned it down, too soon) by a total stranger, something that has never happened to me before. So, yeah, what's making me happy is that I'm able to move on and enjoy my life again.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

I've got a bigass one of those i've got to get to this weekend.

Actually went tractor shopping yesterday after spending 2 days hauling brush and logs by hand.

http://www.tractorbynet.com

Lot's of useful advice there.

We looked at Mahindra and Kubota. I liked the Mahindra but the dealer told us that they didn't offer a front snow plow for the model I was looking at. That was a deal breaker for me. Now that I've had the Kubota a couple of weeks I'm glad they didn't. There are little things that show Kubota put a lot of thought into getting things just right.

What is this stuff you name snow???

Man i'm gonna miss the southern weather this winter.

Liven in NOLA for 2 years and didnt turn the heat on one damn time. It was glorious.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Yeah, the one I was looking at was a Kubota 5200. Trying to decide if I want to spend the money or find a used one.

Dropped my ipad today. I've never had much good to say about ATT except that they're better than Verizon, but their Assurion insurance is worth the money. Filed the claim at ~2:30 this afternoon. When I started the claim I got an "out of stock on this model" message. 4 hours later a replacement was picked up by FedEx. Their website is informing me that since they were out of 16gb they shipped a 64gb.

That jazz concert was one of the highlights of the weekend. I've looked all over for their music online, but no luck. In other words, you should try to be a good hipster and enjoy something most others will never experience.

Rest assured that I will begin to finger the hilt of my battleaxe on the erst instance of discontentment. Or someone elses, as they tend to confiscate mine on the airport.

Are you certain it wasn't Desucon?
I would suggest throwing a set of kettles down a mountainside or visiting some pre-automated shipyard for a similar effect. :unworthy:

Here's some of that Moonsorrow I talked about. Now we can compare who has an kvlter and heathener and trollisher odder taste in music. :D

That is a very lucky and very huge upgrade.

It gets even better. They sent me a brand new one, not a refurb.

Now I don't know whether to keep it or sell it. I really don't need 64gb.

I vote sell it, then buy yourself another 16gb one and roll around the floor in the excess money you have.

Or thats what i would do anyway...

In summer I had flower boxes in front of my windows and every now and then a bird would sit in them, so I decided to build a birdhouse and right now a bunch of great tits is flying around it. :unworthy:
