zwitterion is another new admin on Malazan Empire.
He has been sorting some server side issues for us and is also hoping to be able to merge purgatory posts with the old database.
All in all a damned decent chap. Please make him welcome.

Yeah about that... as I muttered overe here, merging those databases requires that I have access to those databases (or hard drives if you prefer

) but while AR sent over all the old board data, the closest I've come to the purgatory db is an email from Hetan saying that AR was being surly and feels like everyone should just deal because "they knew it was temporary anyway". So we're a bit SOL unless AR finds a minute to chuck us some server details or SQL dumps.

I understand your frustration, truly. The fact is that we cannot rely on AR replying/acting in any reasonable time frame - period, fullstop. We must explore alternatives to him doing the things we currently need him to do in order to facilitate the change. If we need a new domain we will get one, etc. There must be a place for SE's fans to gather. Until and unless such a place is in safe hands, I'm on point and heads are going to roll until we get it right.

So, worst case scenario, ie., no further cooperation from AR, what are our options?
