yeah, but i never said i wasnt which is what korvalain said i stated. Its very easy for people to say something and twist meaning, which is what i feel korvalain is doing by not denying being a corleone. Now if he said i was defo not corleone because my actions dictate that i am not then i wouldnt feel the need to argue, but he is saying that i said that, when i did nothing of the sort. I dislike being misrepresented, there is quite a big difference in my mind between what someone says and what they do.

anyway - meanas, what think you about tellan as possible triad. Has anyone else mentioned that role with as much frequency or speculated on recruitment as much as they have? or am i jsut missing something.

OK, just because it's you I'll defend against the case I'm a Corleone:

1) When I put my "Canelloni" opening joke I thought it was from Goodfellas, not the Godfather, so I guess it wasn't really a "hint"
2) The "slip" that there are 5 people willing to vote for you instead of 6 was a typo. It was a quick post before going to bed, and it's so weak I can't imagine people would believe it.

I didn't argue too much before because I found it funny that people assumed I was in a team I was not without there being anything really solid, which is a good place to be in a game like this. The Corleone people might think I'm with them, while the other teams might realize the whole thing is weak and look for other targets (such as players voting for their dons, or whatever else). Plus, it got people talking I'm a don which is good.

Honestly, you keep asking for "proof", well WTF you want? Name me a proof I can give you.

OK, managed to grab a PC at uni quickly. Telas, the reason I'm not jumping on your train is as follows:

You've put yourself in a poor position. Accusing Korv of two different things works against you. If he's a don, his clan wont wont for him. If he's corleon, they wont vote for him. For me to vote against him makes it clear I'm not either of those things and reveals my family. For me to not vote Korv means I could be in any group.

So you have to make up your mind and give a pretty good case that Korv is definitely one or the other. Even then all the people who suddenly vote will reveal a lot about themselves, so I'm still not that likely to join in.

On the other hand - you have votes against you. I can vote for you and not reveal anything about myself or my affiliations. There's a chance you're in my family, but it's only about 20%, and you've admitted to being a low level player, so it's a risk I'm willing to take.

As for my being triad, I think you're really just making random accusations because your planned train never materialised. I've been accused of being the FM too.. Maybe I'm both Or maybe I'm bringing up the triad cos I'm a scared grunt. Or because I'm a high level player trying to draw a bribe that wont work. planned train? It is things like this that annoy me immensely. I am trying to discuss things and place a vote on a player and make a case, and now its a planned train? As for the triad thing, i am not tryign to divert attention or making random accusations, there are four teams against my own, FOUR, you are probably on one of them. You have went on a few times about role distribution, recruitment and the cult. therefore you are drawing my attention to paralells between you and that role. if you dont want to be associated with it, stop talkign about it so much.

As for the first point, can i say again that that is weak reasoning. You are basically saying because you think korvalain may be a certain faction you are unwilling to vote for him because it proves your not in that faction.........................................................................

That's exactly why I have been defending against whichever I felt was the most solid at the time, but never all the way.

Telas seems to think he can "shake the scum" into slipping or get hints about "innocence" and Meanas is asking to "CI" myself with proofs or whatever. Are we playing the same game here?

No that's NOT what I said. You said Korv may be in one of TWO factions. Voting for him proves I'm not in either... Right now I could be defending Korv because he's my don, OR he's a corleoni. If I vote, it means he's not my don & I dont care about the chance that he might be coreleoni. Which puts me in the one remaining family. Seems a bad move to me. I wont be distancing myself from one clan (which I dont mind doing), I'll be distancing myself from TWO. And it takes two clans to get a majority, which makes me a good lynch target.

I always talk about what I think other roles would be doing. Later in the game I'll be talking about guards and finders, cos at that point they'll be relevant. I've mentioned what a don should be doing, as well as specualted on FM and the triad, cos I feel they're important right now. How does talking about a role mean you are that role?

And if I was the triad, I would be doing everything to draw attention away from myself, instead of talking about it. As for drawing a parrallel between myself and the triad - What I suggested was a BAD move for the triad (cos I dont believe you're a grunt), but I put it out there in the hopes he would take the bait tonight. I see you changed your strategy: now, instead of accusing someone of being in a Italian faction, you accuse them of being in one of the other two. Well, what's the case? He talked about the triads? oh i still think your either a corleone or a don, but instead of wasting time us fighting for votes i decided to try to play like everyone else seems to want me too and so i am makign cases. I made my case against you, my vote stays, if people dont agree with it then fine dont vote korvaalin, doesnt mean i have to sit here and debate it all day, as i said before there are four factions against mine and i am doing my best to discover whos in which ones.

from your defence i would think it more likely that you are a don playing at tricking the corleones, i think if your telling a half truth the quote was to make people associate you with the corleones. You have played the part well if thats true. Now i know your not my don, so that leaves you with one other faction to be in, or you are not a don and in mine. Which although worrying may work well for which ever of us survives. (I still dont see why its either or? is every one else suddenly immune?)

as to the second point - to be honest when every started speaking italian i just shut off as i couldnt be arsed going to the trouble of translating it, plus i had other things on my mind (post count). Strangely barghast and tellan have both offered methods of prtoection from the fm, which i felt were just weak and pointless. Now either they are the fm, or they are immune and drawing attention on purpose.

One thing i have to consider is that you are trying to draw attention onto those voting for you though. You are also ignoring the tellan case quite well and diverting attention onto barghast, but that would make tellan your master... Not that i mind too much, as its less attention on me but i have stornger suspicion of tellan being the triad than barghast being an fm, and think the triad is the bigger danger with a once a night action rather than every two nights. Also the fm doesnt need to move, while the triad will be constantly tryign to increase his cult size.

let me have a proper reread on barghast, did anyone else jump on that or is this the first accusation from soemone regardign the fm roles use?

I'm not talking about the italian, but the fact that his first contribution in this game was to clarify how the FM mechanics work with the poison tokens, which honestly was (and still is) one of the things I cared least about in this game, me not being the FM and all.

I agree the Triad is the one to go for, though, hence my vote on your ass. No-one teamed would have started the game random-voting around like a clown the way you did.
