Unusual turn of phrase...

It's very fashionable in China to have English writing on articles of clothing, and inevitably there will be some odd translations around with lots of people not knowing much English. I have two especially interesting/odd ones to report, although one will have to wait as it needs a photo to do it justice and have no means of uploading at the moment.
As I was getting off a bus today I saw a girl with a bag, upon which was the following slogan:
MINUTEMEN
MEATPUPPETS
DESCENDENTS
ANGST
Would anyone like to take a guess as to what they were trying to say? Because I have no clue.
Sir Thursday

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

MEATPUPPETS sounds like some horrific slang used in a Stephen King novel. Urk.

All of the above bands were american punk rock bands that were on a label called SST Records. Their more famous label mates would be the likes of Black Flag, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and Husker Du.
The Meat Puppets were probably best known for Nirvana choosing to do cover versions of 3 of their songs on the Unplugged in New York album (Plateau, Oh Me and Lake of Fire). The 2 Kirkwood brothers from the Meat Puppets played on stage with Nirvana for these 3 songs. They had been around long before Nirvana, but got a boost from the Unplugged exposure and actually had a chart hit with a song called Backwater after it which wasn't bad. Though this is much more grungey in sound, rather than their punk roots.

Dreading? Worrying?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Angst is German, I think, and it's used in English as well, though probably not to the extent used in Scandinavia or German speaking countries.
