1. Bonehunters. Gets a bad rep, but chapter 7 is my favorite SE chapter... ever.
2. Deadhouse Gates. GotM got me going, but DG had me hooked. Easily the most re-readable.
3. Memories of Ice. Classic.
4. Reaper's Gale. Nice conclusion to the Edur story, plus lots of Fiddler/Bottle.
5. Toll the Hounds. This book took a long time to get moving, IMO. Nice finish, though.
6. House of Chains. Didn't warm up to Karsa until AFTER book 1...
7. Gardens of the Moon
8. Midnight Tides. SOMETHING had to go last, and I was never a big fan of the Edur storyline.

Toll the Hounds last huh? Is that pending a re-read or are you confident in that placement?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
