I'm not a moron, I know to avoid spoilers. It's just that this forum has interesting and active topics not related directly to Toll of the Hounds, but rather to the series as a whole.

Fair enough. But, word to the wise, lots of topics in here are now spoilerific without designating.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Huh, I was sure I'd posted in this thread before... ah well.

Memories of Ice - Just awesome, best single fantasy book I've read.
Midnight Tides - I loved the new situation and characters, some of Erikson's best.
Toll the Hounds - Doubt many would put it this high, but I really enjoyed the book all the way through.
Gardens of the Moon - Never had many of the problems other people seem to with this.
Bonehunters - Improved considerably on re-read.
Deadhouse Gates - Amazing this is so far down... still, haven't read it for a long time.
Reaper's Gale - A dissapointment after Midnight Tides, could have been much better. Will seem better once the whole series is finished, as it's one of the most open-ended.
House of Chains - Meh... good book, but not with the class of the others, despite introducing Torvald Nom, who is brilliant.

Well, spoilers are fair game in any thread in the TtH forum, so some are going to creep up on you. Especially since you said you've only read 5 of the books.

I can't get the tags to work for some reason. Hmm.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

You have been banned from the tags. That's what I heard anyways.

Ah, I see. They changed the size tags around, and prevented my old method of all caps.

Eh, the Malazan forums have more gossip going on than a middleschool's girls bathroom.

Go ahead and try. Go on, have your post entirely full of capital letters. I dare you.

Come on, I know you have better lines that that on you. Do it like it's a drug man.

Yeah, you can't post in all caps. Why? Because it's obnoxious.

No, no, I could before - and did so for dramatic effect - but now the [img] tags no longer allow it. I miss it already.

I would try substituting some other various addictive thing to ween you off and to lessen the withdrawal effects.

How about funny posts? :o

Better not show the MCR emo-loving guy any tears or he'll try to convert you. Just say, "I hate the world. It's so stupid. No one understands me."
