I'm incredibly versatile, I could be on top or on the bottom, I'd still complain.

Lads! Lads! This is a FOOTBALL fantasy thread.

"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

So what exactly is the deadline for transfers each week? Is it midnight on Thursdays or something?

Yes Yellow, the lusty one is right. Its usually about 11:30. But when you sign in it will tell you the game week and the deadline each week.

There's no way you could fail to blush attractively, you handsome devil. Also I should probably mention; I like being in front of you on the table, er...in the table, in the malaz fantasy football table. Although I wouldn't begrudge you if it were the other way around, that is you being infront of me.

For once the majority of my team are playing on Saturday, this is a rarety.

Real men/and women (let us not forget Mez) play their wild card in the second week! ;)
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I stocked up on AV players this week, the max 3: Ablongahor(sp), Carew, and one of their midfielders.

Agbonlahor ;) Close enough!!

Villa players are normally consistant points scorers. Carew, Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Barry, Laursen, Freidel... all good selections really.

I was looking at my team selection today, and i realised i have no understanding of how the points work to try and improve things. I had already gone for several Villa players though, which is how i managed to do anything at all last week. Plus my opinion of players often prevents me from picking them, rather than whether they are good fantasy players or not. Like I couldn't ever bring myself to pick Rio Ferdinand or Ashley Cole since they are both tits.

I'm still undecided as to whether to get rid of Robbie Keane or not, since I put him in when he was a Spurs player, and forgot to transfer him after he moved to Liverpool. Don't want to have 2 strikers from the same team really but i may give it a few weeks to see how it works out (plus i'm afraid of the 3 R's, Rafa's Regular Rotation). I should get the hang of things in a few weeks, by which time i'll be well out of the running.

Read the rules at that site BoF, they have the scoring system in detail there.

Cheers Hoosier,
I know they do, and i had a quick look earlier today, but I know it hasn't really sunk in yet. I'll eventually get a better feeling for it, and that's probably when i'll unleash the wildcard for a radical overhaul of my squad. But without playing before, i just went for 4-4-2 and players i thought would play each position rather than going for the ideal points scorers and using formations to best gain points.

You never know ;)

I believe I've actually got the second-highest score today... not bad, considering I thought I had achieved MEGA-FAIL. Still got a few players for tomorrow too :D

Well, I've moved up in the table some and still have Cech, Deco, and Evra to play this week... so maybe I'm not as done as I thought I was yet. Hopefully.
