ROTCG was actually available before TTH was, except in crazy £80-o-availablity. I'm happy to wait for August, personally, since I have no money anyway.

I saw that on Ebay after I asked.. I guess I enjoy the books , but I can wait a month.

Yeah, it's really not a very long time to wait, considering the associated drop in price :D

1. MOI - Great flow, fantastic introductions -- Characters I loved and loathed... best ending in the series
2. DHG - Chain of Dogs and Duiker
3. TTH - He did what!?! To whom!?! ... and then...
4. HOC - Witness!
5. GotM - Timeline and consistency issues aside, what a hell of an intro.
6. TB - Malaz City and Y'ghatan
7. MT - First real look at a Tiste. Seren and Tehol made this book for me
8. RG - Red*yawn*mask, whole Patriotist storyline pulls this one down my list

*plinkplink* $0.02 in the bucket

I haven't read Toll the Hounds yet. I have just been re-reading the series before getting my copy. I thought Bonehunters was the best until I re-read Memories of Ice. The death of the Bridgeburners at Pale; Wiskeyjack and Korlat; the Mybe; and the Shield-Anvil ... I could go on ... all make it a wonderfully moving book. To be fair - they are all eye-wateringly brilliant - I can't really order them.

I voted for Karsa Orlong again :D
Best catchphrase ever: "Witness"
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Well as expected, MoI makes it in first place in the polls, with MT and DG coming second and very close to each other (an actual tie at the time I make this post). Surprisingly, however, TtH has now bumped its way into fourth place, so I guess SE did a good job!

I've never read an ICE novel yet; my hierarchy, while difficult to construct now as I've JUST finished TtH, is:

1 - MT
2 - MoI
3 - DG
4 - tBH
5 - TtH
6 - HoC
7 - GotM
8 - RG

1. MOI
2. DG
3. MT
4. TtH
5. GoM
6. NOK
7. BH
8. RG
9. HoC

Although I would stack each and every book above almost every other author.
If I made a list based on the amount of rereads that I have done it would go:

1. BH
2. HoC
3. MoI
4. GoM
5. DG
6. RG
7. MT
8. NoK
9. TtH
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.
