I feel like a little kid dealing with my parents splitting up.

Now he says he won't show up at Training Camp, good choice Brett.

Yeah, good call. If he was planning on actually being Rodger's backup, then sure, show up. Don't go just to cause a ruckus. He's using his brain a little now.

I trust Favre though. He may have made a mistake or two, but it sounds like the Packer's brass did some shitty stuff too.

If you don't want the guy to start and he wants to play, he has to go play somewhere else. Let him worry about his legacy.

Neither side is coming off as perfect at this point. They need to work together to come up with a list of teams that they could accept him playing for, and he would like to go to, and make the trade happen. I can see why they don't want to release him outright, but they need to work together on this.

I don't know that the Packers management did anything wrong.

They have a player who may be retired or may not. They told him to give them an answer. He did, so they have been planning to not have him, now he wants to come back and play?

I still say the Packers Organization should tell him 'You are the backup for Rogers, unless you are willing to get traded. If you want to be released, give us back your signing bonus since you are refusing to fulfill your contract'.

Favre is being a douche, thinking that because he is a good QB, he should decide if, and when he gets to play, and he can't even be bothered to tell the Packers Organization if he wants to make up his mind. I think this all could have been handled a lot better, but most if not all of the fault lies on Brett not realizing that he is 1/32, and him being a fucktard, not knowing what he wants, and yanking everyone around is stupid.

If I up and tell my job that I quit or I retire, you better believe I cannot come back 3 months later and get my same job back, with no repercussions at all. (God I can't spell)

It was bound to happen. It just so happens to be their biggest rival that got caught which I'm sure delights all Pack fans.

With Manning's knee surgery, despite the fact that he's 99% probable to come back to start this season, idiot Colts fans are blowing up Colts forums with the "get Brett Favre!" mantra.

Er, salary cap people? God.

Which goes to show why I'm not surprised at the "tampering".
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I know I'm delighted. If nothing else, all this Favre drama could cost the Vikings draft picks, which is a good thing. Of course, the idea that he would like to play for them brings the taste of vomit to my mouth.

I'm going to outbid everyone and have Favre play exclusively for my fantasy team.

This says the interest and contact from the Vikings was what led to Favre trying to come back to begin with.

While that is pretty subjective, I can imagine why it's believable. I'd seriously hate to be a Pack fan right now, having my loyalties twisted and turned like this.

However, there were + articles on both Marv and Dwight for the Colts in that link, so hooray Rotoworld!

I would think most Pack Fans are like that at this point.

Watch, he will probably end up staying retired...and in 3 months we'll all feel foolish for even caring.

That's how i see all this playing out. They won't release him, or find a team he wants to be traded to, and he'll just fade away.

I think he just sat there all winter thinking that his last pass was an interception....and how he didn't want it to end that way. God damnit they should have beaten the sorry ass Giants.

Yeah, if they would have won it all last year we wouldn't be in this situation.

And we wouldn't have to give Eli "Lucky ass" Manning a shred of credit...for anything.

I still think that guy is kind of a tool, but he'll always be the tool who kept the Patriots from being undefeated, for which I will always be greatful.

Since I hate all sports NYC, I rooted for the Pats. New Yorkers are intolerable...yes more so than Boston Fans.
