Okay, I've been sitting on this because I figured one of you idiot box slaves would have mentioned it by now, but I guess I have to due the heavy lifting and drop something to get the discussion started.

So, there is going to be a Fallout series (based on the video game franchise, obvi Posted Image) done by the people who did Westworld. Ok, that's a succinct tease... now go! Say something about it, please.

An ongoing tv show based on a video game is a horrible idea.

You're welcome.

Netflix kept recommending me Korean Dramas...so I finally decided to give one a shot (googled what some of the best ones are). Checked out MR. SUNSHINE...A period piece that takes place early in the 20th century, as Japan occupies Korea.

And it's fucking unbelievably amazing. From score, to sets, to cinematography, to costuming, to acting...it's so damned good. If all K-Dramas are this good, I'm in for a treat. MR. SUNSHINE is 24 episodes on it's own, so I'm good for a while anyways.

Wondered what the hype was....was satisfied with the answer. Like Hollywood stuff isn't this good.

It was in the trailer but I certainly wasnít expecting quite so much of it no. Itís shot just like Kingdom minus the horror elements. Beautiful costumes and landscapes. I find myself wondering why more fantasy films arenít lining up for that glorious setting. And Iím also totally lost on who is who on the last bit of Ep 1. Things went over my head or I just wasnít looking maybe.

5 mins 12 secs into Ep 2.

I got a bit lost too, and looked up some stuff to clarify.

spoilers for Ep1

Spoiler

You'll also get a better handle on the characters as it goes on to be honest. I'm done Episode 3 now and I'm even more into this than I was before. Great show! Hope you continue to enjoy it.

On Mr Sunshine ep 5. Good stuff.

Have watched Epstein 1-3. Itís really boring.

My god I miss Live PD, PD Cam, Live PD Wanted.

3 eps left of Snowpiercer which is fairly good with nothing else on regular cable.

Need to get back to Warrior Nun ep 4 soon.

I heard the doc doesn't dive deep enough into things to be really interesting. There are a few podcasts that cover the subject with much more aplomb.

It is really frustrating because it really highlights the damaged minds of some of the women being interviewed and then throws any sympathy out the window on a few of them. One of them claims to have been raped and abused for over a year and then she just brings her 17 year old sister to a lunch on the claimed suggestion of Maxwell to bring along and then claims surprise when she finds out it has happened to the younger sister years later. Ffs why would anyone bring along to being with? Like I said it does a good job of the damage done while also throwing out any sympathy I felt. Idk itís just a very strange documentary at times imo and not at all as compelling as say Making A Murderer or early Tiger King.

Because poverty and partying warps people's brains.

How do you think cycles of abuse keep going without some real heavy denial, backsliding, and "we're pulling you back in"?

I'm watching Snowpiercer. I like it. Haven't read the book. Jennifer Connelly needs a few hearty meals though.

I really enjoyed the movie Snowpiercer. It is excellent. When I heard there was going to be a television series, I was fan boy excited. I couldn't get into the television show though, and I really wanted to. It seemed like it was going to be a season long (10 hour long episodes) to get to the bottom of a murder. In fact, it seemed like the show might actually end on a cliff hanger and continue the mystery into the second season. I stopped watching after episode 3.

Yes, Jennifer Connelly is shockingly, to a disturbing degree, very skinny. Like there is possibly a disorder there, yeah?
