Holy crap, politics Community episode has me laughing my ass off right now. Up there with Modern Warfare for best ep ever.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

@ DIBS - haven't seen the Sons of Anarchy season you're talking about, but I can just imagine the portrayal of the Ireland.
One of the classics in that regard was an episode of "MURDER SHE WROTE" which was supposed to be set in County Cork, Ireland. I swear they had people going to a céilí at a crossroads, and in another scene, one character actually uttered the words, "TOP OF THE MORNING TO YOU". All they were short of were Leprechauns.

Watched The Lost Room. Good sci fi miniseries for anyone who's in search of watching something sci fi'ish. Also, it Lost worth watching?

Yeah LOST ROOM is an enjoyable miniseries. Had the potential to be expanded into a longer running series, but thankfully they showed some restraint and didn't spoil the memory by doing a crap follow up.
In some ways you could say that WAREHOUSE 13 is a like minded serial, though more tongue in cheek (mostly in that it deals with seemingly ordinary objects with unusual/almost mystical properties).
As for LOST. The week to week watching is in itself quite enjoyable, as it is well made, and the actors are pretty decent. However, you may by now have heard the complaining about the ending, which for some was a great/fitting conclusion, and to others a confirmation of all the worst fears about the creators having no firm idea of how they were going to end it along the way. (i fall into the second camp).
I was never an avid fan, so I can't trust my memory on this. But If i remember correctly, season 1 and 2 are good, 3 is a bit of a mess. Then 4 picks things up again, and 5 is the run to the finish (so you should be excited enough at this point). I won't really elaborate further to avoid even inadvertently giving away spoilers.

Zach Galifianakis on Saturday Night Live was pure win. Here is his opening monologue (very funny!).

^^^ I hate when that happens. Here is the link to NBC's Saturday Night Live portal. Since Galifianakis hosted this past Saturday, looks like some of the clips (including monologue) from the show are accessible on the landing page. Very funny!

V finale last night.
Leaving aside the fact that one really, REALLY cannot overthink this show (
At the very least, I want to see the outcome of some of the nastier bits of the finale.

THE LOST ROOM was actually meant to be a backdoor pilot and go to series and it never did. Which is sad cause it was very interesting and unique for its time.
LOST is pretty much what BoD said, you will either like the ending or hate it...BUT I feel that the show is totally worth watching in any event, as the buildup is hella fun to watch. I think even the folks who didn't like the shows' ending enjoyed most of the ride getting there.
Actually, my thoughts are that Season 1 is very good, Season 2 suffers from the writers having to write out two BIG characters they had plans for because of a drinking and driving incident and is therefore a little longer and overblown as a side effect (and is my least fave season), Season 3 is quite good and builds to an amazing finale two-parter, Season 4 (for me) is absolutely untouchable by critics as I think damn near every episode was genius (including my favourite hour of television EVER, an episode called THE CONSTANT) and the show never had better storyline execution than it did in Season 4, Seasons 5 and 6 can be blended into one really and are both quite good (IMHO anyways), but do suffer from following the brilliance that is Season 4. That said, I am one of the folks who enjoyed the ending and thought it was fitting.

I found LOST ROOM a bit too cutesy for its own good. Neat concept but lacked something in the execution.
LOST... LOST is worth watching, especially collected because you won't have to wait entire years between the good parts and most of the good parts are so very, very good. It drags and/or wanders at times but overall i think its one of the most satisfying works of genre tv out there.

Too lazy to leaf back through this thread to see if I'm being redundant, but presently I'm working my way through season 2 of BREAKING BAD, maybe one of the darkest shows I've ever watched. I'm increasingly impressed and drawn in with every episode I watch. Anyone else enjoy this one?

Never watched it, but speaking of Bryan Cranston, I've been re-watching Season 4 of Babylon 5, in which he makes an appearance as a Ranger on a suicide mission against the Shadows.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

You must be mistaken.
No one watched Babylon 5. Therefore it didn't exist.
That is all.

So those five DVD boxes on my shelf do not exist? That would free up some space over there, but still, I love the series.

I've been meh on this show since it began, but this episode...wow.

Now I'm actually looking forward to Season 3.

I never watched Babylon 5 so I can't really comment. Just going off what Sheldon on Big Bang said.

If there IS a season 3. Industry rumour has it that some of the actors were practically begging to be killed off in the finale so they didn't have to stay available on the thin but drawn out hope that it gets picked up.
Was neat to see Marc Singer again tho'.

When B5 was good, it was brilliant. See large chunks of seasons 2-4. When it was bad... oh, it was bad indeed. See most of season 5.

Ah. I should've guessed they wouldn't have made such bold moves without the Sword of
