AGENTS OF SHIELD - I'm out. I tried, i really tried, i know people loved the Ghost Rider arc, but despite a homicidal flaming spirit of vengeance i found it predictable (the big bad was obvious, his master plan was one mustache twirl short of silly), uninteresting (really, we have to do the nobody trusts anybody thing again again AGAIN?), repetitous (ok Daisy we get it, shut up now please just shut up, you used to be interesting and now you're a one note character), and loaded with filler. The new LMD arc is going nowhere i feel like sticking around for... in striking contrast to INCORPORATED there is nothing new here and they aren't making it interesting enough to stick around for.

This.

I tried too. I wanted it to get better or have something that sunk its hooks into me to keep me engaged. The Ghost Rider garbage was the final straw. I bailed before the mid-season break.

Seriously, they had a guy who is a demon possessed flaming skeleton prone to setting people on fire and/or blowing them up, driving a black '69 Dodge Charger, also on fire, and beyond that initial moment of Holy Shit That's Ghost Rider!, managed to be boring. Amazing.

This makes me feel good about having given up on AoS way back last season.

So, because he has now released the review I can now say that I have seen the first episode of A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS - my brother is a reviewer and gets early access to a few episodes, and I saw the first one over Christmas with him but he was on embargo and I couldn't say anything.

It's well good! Patrick Warburton is brilliant as Lemony Snicket, NPH is suitably mad as Count Olaf and the the kids are excellent too.

It's very similar in style and tone to Pushing Daisies. Highly recommended!

This is now out on Netflix!

SLEEPY HOLLOW season 4 quietly premiered last week! I was not even aware it had been renewed after Season 3's events

Spoiler

But colour me surprised, and happily so. The premiere was good fun! Away from the muck and the mire of Season's 3 mess...new city, new co-lead (Though Jenny is still around).

Anyways, just giving the heads up.

LONGMIRE S3 - Four eps in... I am never going to call this show brilliant, but it holds my attention. The setting and characters make a by-the-numbers police procedural into something way more interesting and this looks like the strongest season yet with the ongoing plot re Walt's wife, Henry, etc taking as much time as the crime-of-the-week.. way more interesting than the election.

The S3 finale of Longmire is one of the best I've seen recently. Absolutely blew my wife and I away. Of course at that time, A&E cancelled the show right afterwards and we were so pissed! Kudos to Netflix for picking it up. The following seasons have not quite lived up to that pinnacle but its still a show I really enjoy. Part of the reason is the setting/scenery and part of it is Katee Sackhoff.

I don't blame her for getting out of there. This show lost my interest during S2 big time.

Seconded.
Utterly.
Went from fun silly to massively irritating.

Twin Peaks Season 1 is awesome. Season 2 starts awesome, has a very mixed middle (due to some external factors, mostly), but then ends on a very high note so don't let the wacky stuff turn you off. And the movie -- Fire Walk With Me -- is one of the best things Lynch has ever done. I'm so hyped for Season 3.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Have watched 4 eps of A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS sO far and it's wonderful. Like a whimsical blend of Roald Dahl and PUSHING DASIES.

Watched ep 1 of TABOO (it's free on iTunes)...and eh....I'm a big historical drama fan..but what am I meant to be watching here? Tom Hardy swagger around all top-heavy, telling people to get out of his way, while everyone tries and fails to manipulate him?

Man, I dunno. I thought the first ep was okay...but enough to continue? Eh...

Man S3 of The Affair is sucking some major dong. Wtf happened to the writers? I hope there no S4 at this rate.

Why is sucking major dong a bad thing since you want someone to suck yours fairly often?

I watched Netflix's Frontier. Certainly a step down in quality from many other Netflix originals, but I liked it. Story was, well, what you'd expect from something like this, but decent enough to keep me watching. Production value seemed to me to be where they spent their money.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

The Bachelor Nation franchise should merge with Final Desti-Nation franchise.

Can they not make original shows in 2016-17? Just saw ads for Training Day and Taken series. Last yr we had Lethal Weapon. Come on people.

I bet we are in for a Traffic show as well later. Any other predictions?

Well, CHIPS the movie is coming soon! Does that count?
