Ha ha, oh wow.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I agree that there's something wrong with his head. Maybe Erikson still intends to add some hair.

WHen I looked at the things on the table I first thought Erikson might have wanted to implement some symbolic elements but besides the bones there's nothing else that really catches the eye.

The head does look a bit odd, without hair, and no hint of an ear or two.

The roundiness of the face here reminds me of those old B&W movies where the moon is like a big cheese in the sky. Bizarre.

I look forward to seeing this when it's finished though, along with any other characters he has illustrated to see if SE will do everyone else in the same style.

Cheers for posting this Hetan.

Would really love to buy a SE painting or litography. Anyone know if that is possible at all or if he has any plans of making it possible in the future?

Not greasy or sweaty enough :o
I always thought he was fatter.

The "finished" parts of the painting are really good.

His clothes aren't scruffy enough and he should definitely be fatter. That don't look like no man of lard to me.

When I think of Kruppe I'm always reminded of an actor called Roy Brocksmith. He's the kind of actor whose name will mean nothing to you but you'll recognise him at once when you see him. Sadly he died a few years ago.

He played the ranger/monk "Brother Alwyn" in an episode of BABYLON5, and perhaps more famously played an extremely intelligent and arrogant alien in Star Trek:TNG. He's also been in things like Bill and Ted and Total Recall.
Anyway, this is him when he was in Star Trek since i couldn't find a pic of him in Babylon5. Try and ignore the make-up job. Though it was his role as Brother Alwyn makes me think of Kruppe.

Stephen Furst, who played Vir Cotto in Babylon5 could also give it a shot. He used to be roundy enough to be a man of lard.

When I was talking about his head, I didn't mean the lack of hair or ears, because they're clearly not finished yet, I meant the shape - no one's head is that round, heh. It needs work on being more chubby cheeks and double chin, less spherical bone structure;)

ok this Roy Brocksmith is good enough for Kruppe

But when I think about Kruppe one name comes in mind(ok now I'm doomed):

Dany DeVito

I could see Devito as Kruppe, if he could get rid of that accent. I can't remember a role he's played where he hasn't sounded like Danny Devito. He's certainly fat and greasy enough, but perhaps a little short.
