I think they can and will up the tempo significantly now, and they can keep it up for the rest of the game. I have no idea which team will power on first though, but the game so far makes me think it will be Spain.

However I still hope for victory for our Slavic comrades *whistles*

bah there was no play from Russia. I kinda expected some of them to just roll over and die of exhaustion in this second half, seems like if they just finished pulling a train from Vladivostok to Sankt Petersburg. there wasn't even any contest.

however, looking at this match, I don't predict Spain faring good against Germany. they won't be able to outstamina the Germans.
Russia is growing to quite a force in the footie world though.

I missed the match, but yet again it seems the team I was supporting lost. This has happened in every single freaking game in this competition, to my knowledge! It's weird. I think I will support Germany in the final, just so they lose. :D

There is no 3rd place match at the Euros, not since the 70s I think. They had to abandon unecessary matches in Europe because there wasn't enough money left over to turn the floodlights on after we'd finished subbing the French under the common agricultural policy.

Nay, we didn't sing that, but we did when the Dutch missed the qualification for the World Championship some years ago (Ohne Holland fahr'n wir zur WM). Then Germany played so bad they had to leave rather early, and I'm sure the Dutch made songs about us as well then. :mad:
