I had a feeling this was coming, and now they've officially announced that when Davies steps down at the end of 2009....Blink and Girl in the Fireplace writer (and Coupling creator) Steven Moffatt will be taking over as showrunner! I am SO excited about this, as I feel that maybe Moffatt can bring his originality to the series. I mean, don't get me wrong, RTD has done a cool job of reviving the series.....I just think Moffatt can do better.

I tend to agree - RTD has done a good job of restoring the series, but he hasn't really created anything brilliant, as the overall series villians are always things brought back from the older series. I think Moffat is more likely to bring in some original enemies for the Doctor to fight.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Moffat makes himself sound like a right moron in that article though...

Hopefully there will be less man love too. I find it a bit irritating that RTD used the show and then Sausage fest 'Torchwood' to push his own agenda.

Im hoping it goes well, Im not sure how the next season will be, since its gonna be something like 3 movies I think.
But it will be interesting to have RTD stepping down, and Moffat taking his place because Moffat has written some awesome eps.
