I could sort imagine that was what it looked like behind the pillar Hedge was using as cover, right after he launched the cusser at Raest.

Looks really good :D

If I can offer some constructive critisism, I'd say their heads are too... flat.
Sort of like the top/back of the skull is cut short. Could be it works better that way though. It matches the style of some of your other paintings.
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Nice action capture.

I really like the guy in the foreground's armor. Not all heavy and plated-up like a lot of people would draw it. Makes sense for a sapper too since they wouldn't carry as much armor given the weight of the explosives.

good expression on his face too. Cool that he's skinny and not all burly like a heavy infantry. You'd expect a sapper to be a bit smaller I think. Run in and run out...it would be hard to outrun your cusser's fuse if you were some kind of WWE wrestler.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

yep! and I'm still in the process of thinkin' of a scene to do for the comp, as for the heads I think it comes with being pretty crap at anything to do with perspective, vanishing pionts and all that malarky

perspective ans vanishing points will be the death of me I suspect:P

love the drawing, they look like sappers alright. I think it's said somewhere in the books that sappers just pick whatever armour they can find, usually from fallen enemies...what's left of them anyway:) It will mostly be boiled leather and very haphazard...

keep up the awesome work:)

Is there a plan to add colour to this sketch?

If not you should explore it. It's one of my favourites that you've done so far.

I'm gonna keep most of the images pretty simple and black and white (or gray and gray as the case may be) but i can pretty much guarantee some wicked colouring in the comp piece............with a bit of luck anyway!
