I'm wondering...will we be seeing our two favourite fun-loving, Hood-defying necromancers in TtH? because, since last i heard, they were entertaining a few fellas from down Mott way, and, seeings as theyre on Genabackis...is there any chance we may run into them again? or have they moved on to bigger and bloodier things?

After dealing with the warlocks from Mott Woods, I suspect they'll find an excuse to hurry onward from Genabackis ...

Semi-spoiler from 'The healthy dead':
Spoiler

The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

ah. well as of yet i have not had the chance to read those 3 novellas concerning those two characters in particular (oh, cant forget good ol' Mancy!). perhaps i should rectify such a sad oversight on my part...and maybe dip into what ICE has written as well.

Well, one of my hopes for TtH is to see these two characters again; reading them was such a pleasure the first time, it would be nice to be able to read another installment in their obviously lengthy history, as i suspect 3 novellas will not be enough to tide me over. lol

A note: the three novellas, Healthy Dead, Blood Follows and Lees of Laughter's End all take place, as far as we know, BEFORE Memories of Ice.

The Healthy Dead certainly does at least, as rather obvious storyline points in said book would demonstrate.

Can you elaborate?
I don't remember what that could be (it's been a long time since I read it).

SE said we wouldn't be seeing kB+B again in the main series. I believe that this is the very reason why he writes the novellas. People demanded more.

I remember now why I stay out of these threads, I type down the first stuff that comes into my head without thinking about it:o

One of my favorite moments of MoI was Quick Ben's encounter with these two.

Well even though SE confirmed it already, I'd still imagine that they would probably want to stay as far away from the Malazans as possible... they didn't seem to enjoy themselves very much the last time they met.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

To be honest..

I hope those two reach a grizzly painful end. Particuarly Korbal Broach. Murder, Evil. They had better get whats coming to them, i'd like to say at the recieving end of Dragnipur but these two are the types that i would enjoy watching go down.
Perhaps the novellas would change my opinion of them

HD takes place before MOI, as emancipor reese has been with bauchelain for 4 years in HD, and 10 years in MOI, so your not wrong brood.

Oh and these are the book forums, topic please :folken:

Y'know, supposedly QB was intending to send B&KB up against the Crippled God. That was his purpose in MoI of telling Bauchelain who was poisoning the warrens.

I believe we won't see the duo again in the main books, but that's a confrontation i'd like to read.
