Not that it matters but If Morgoth doesn't win before I get to score then I'm going to score lead from the front and spend 3 CT, 2 on tactical and 1 on Strategic. The map only has me at 2 strategic when it should be 2t and 1s.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Hmmmm
We're being awfully legalistic about following procedures considering Morgoth is going to win the game on his status update. Isn't he?

Game map has been updated to the Status Phase excluding Khell's production on Tar'Mann which he was waiting for combat results to post, and assuming Nom has the resources and/or TGs necessary to afford his production on Lodor. Once Khell adds his production, and should Nom not be able to afford his production, I'll update accordingly.
Updated. Built two fighters and 2 GFs.

Yeah, but it’s nice to know where everyone stands at the end.
And Nom! Oof, so close!

Nicely done Morgoth!
Well, that wraps up game 2. Let's have a 1 week break before starting game 3?

I am ready to start the next game, and I realise how important every step is. Including the need for all hexes to stop a repeat of Twelve/Tapper's situation at the start.

The Arborec are a lot of fun to play, like the Nekro. I think I’ve been pretty lucky with my choices so far

Yay!!!!! Finally. Congrats Morgoth. I'd play again as well. Do we have a mod though?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Woot Woot!! Congrats Morgoth!!
Was a fun game to watch, and a LOT of work to mod! Honestly happy it is over!
I agree with Gnaw that a 14 point game is too long for this forum style of play, but 10 round games will hardly ever see War Suns, and it was certainly amazing to watch/resolve some of the battles involving War Suns!
I know not everyone will agree, but I really liked having the Riders in play this game once I started making people do the Status Phase in initiative order. It adds a new dimension to the game.
I would recommend that whoever mods the next game (is Drek not available?) pay attention to the randomization of the Agendas list. Had I noticed that like every single "Minister of..." agenda was in the first half of the pile I probably would have reshuffled so that we could see some of the more interesting agendas.
Also - whoever mods the next game may want to revisit how the map is built. It seemed like quite a few people were unhappy with the map at the beginning, though a couple of the complainers were in the top 3-4 spots in the game, so...
I am very much looking forward to being a player again. Now that I've modded a game, I think I have a much better understanding of what I would want to do and how I would want to do it, so I really hope someone steps up to mod the next game! Do know that it requires a commitment of 1-2 hours per weekday if you're looking to try to do daily updates during the week (which was what I aimed for as much as possible). We used Gimp to create the player banners and update the race sheets, then Inkscape to build and maintain the map. I can send all the files to whoever takes on the job! I tried using imgur for posting game files online, but it won't let you post PNGs, it automatically converts to JPG, which means you'll lose transparency. Imgpile is free, but DID go down twice throughout the duration of the game.

Well done morgoth! And thanks a lot for modding blend, having modded eclipse I realise quite how much work it is!
I'm in for the next game but can't commit the time to modding.

Thanks Blend, great job on the modding, enjoy the rest!
Yeah, 14 ended up being a slog at the end. We'll have to find a happy compromise.
Something else to consider with speeding up the game would be automating the first round, perhaps. 3rd edition had some rules for it, we could look into what they were and try adapting them to this.
There will be some chunks where I'm out of town and wouldn't be able to put much effort into modding, but moreso I don't want to only play half of the games?
Regardless of final scores, I think it could indeed use some revisiting. We may even want to make a few more hexes so it can be a little bigger, as this map setup made a lot of homeworlds very tucked away into corners. That didn't happen so much in the first game, but in that game I got away with placing several homeworlds 2 tiles apart with a supernova in-between, and no guarantee of that with the dynamic setup, so more tiles might add back that openness while keeping the dynamic setup.
I've never tried it, but some people on the web use a variant called "star by star" where you also place your homeworld during the dynamic setup, too. Might be interesting to look into that possibility as well.

Congratz to the Viking! If not for him removing my Crown, though.... in for a new game, no time to mod though.
