I was wondering why the Kindle ebook is apparently 200 pages shorter. It's unabridged right?

Different editions have different page counts due to type space and things like that. The Kindle version will usually follow the hardback or some other version in page count. If yours has 494 pages, it's following the Tor Hardback published in 2004. And no, it's not abridged.
