Hi guys!

Male, 28, married, and from the Philippines.

I haven't met anyone in my country who knows about this series except for my one friend, who I've introduced this series to and have finished this series before me. lel xD

Anyhow, it's nice to become a part of this community! I've been reading a lot of stuff here and avoiding forums where I haven't read those yet and I just love how people are very careful with spoilers.

Just finished Reaper's Gale yesterday and now the hunt begins to find Toll the Hounds in one of the bookshops here in the metro.

Cheers!

Welcome, Yirenar! TtH has one of the best convergences out of any of the books. To echo Abyss above, you're in for a wild ride.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! Posted Image

I'm still conflicted whether to start Night of Knives and Return of the Crimson Guard or just go straight ahead with Toll the Hounds. I've been reading a lot of posts here and most of the "vets" here are really recommending that I read the 2 ICE books before going to TtH. I was thinking of reading the whole 1-10 series then on my re-read I would go with the order that most are claiming to be good.

However, if I go straight to TtH without reading the ICE books which people said are a huge impact to the last 3 books in the series, I would miss out a lot and the first experience is the best experience as a reader. All the emotions are just in a wreck, but leaves me in awe with how it made me in a wreck with all the stories, drama, comedy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! What to do? Posted Image

Tough call - but I'd say it depends a bit on what you're after as a reader. If you want the story/timeline/world to be as coherent as possible, you should go for NoK and RotCG now. But for the emotional impact... don't leave TtH on your shelf a day longer than you have to. :D

It's a bit agonising to put off TtH, but NoK and RCG are solid, you won't feel like you're wasting time.
