Return of the Crimson Guard

Stonewielder

Orb Sceptre Throne

Blood and Bone

Assail

I don't know who the artist is.

The fact that the ship has all sails flying, even the mainstuddingsails it should seem, in such obvious weather/seas...holy shit...whoever approved that art is not a sailor.

There's nothing inherently wrong with them but wow those are generic boring fantasy covers that say utterly nothing about the story other than the inclusion of ships and/or dudes w swords.

Also, i get the sense that they are trying to tell people that these are perfect for fans of George RR Martin.

I prefer the cover artwork for previous editions of the Novels of the Malazan Empire. The artwork for these editions look cheap.

Yes but they failed to inform anyone that they were perfect for fans of George RR Martin.

To what extent does the Author have control over covers? Certainly for international ones the impression I get from twitter is not much.

At least I'm glad they have thought of the Martin fans this time around, so that's a plus. Previously those poor folks would have had no idea where to turn to after getting short-changed on the Ice & Fire series.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Won't someone think of all those poor fans of George RR Martin who didn't know the perfection that they were missing!

This is unfair to GRRM, who has promised his Not A Blog followers that the series will conclude with the Official 2022 ASOIAF Calendar (Winds of Winter) and 2023 Calendar (Finally Some Peace Around Here).
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
