It's really funny if you just watch them crawling along. I think they just keep going..
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

So it's been established that Soapy Steve is a bath pro, and we should all aspire to be like Soapy Steve.

But that other stand out side mission got me to thinking. Are you guys a "baked bean" fan or a "refried bean" fan? For my particular tastes, I would go with baked beans. I mean refried beans are great, don't get me wrong, but they really only work with burritos for the most part. But with baked beans you have a wider world of culinary possibilities. So, baked beans it is for me. What would you guys go with? Type [1] for Baked Beans / Type [2] for Refried Beans.

I finished Persona 4 Golden a few weeks ago and made some more progress with Persona 5 (roughly 90 hours in).

My main focuses at the moment are all Falcom:

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter - nearly at the end. I'm in the 'Finale' chapter so probably 5 or 6 hours left. Once that's done I'm debating whether to play Trails in the Sky the 3rd, which is a separate story, or jump straight into the new Geofront translation of the first game in the Crossbell arc, Trails from Zero (Zero no Kiseki). If I do the latter I may simul-play Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 as the Crossbell story and characters don't become really relevant to Cold Steel until Cold Steel 3, by all accounts.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana - started this early 2019 and was enjoying it. I was about halfway through chapter 2 when I something shiny came along and distracted me. Once the localisation of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox was announced I figured I should return to it. Picked up from where I left off and oh boy, I originally left it right at the point where the story was really about to take off. This game is a masterpiece. Fabulous combat and the pacing of the story is the best I've seen in an action RPG/adventure. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun in a game, if ever.

Blasting through Halo 3. The plot thickens as I finally catch up to Mr. Truth... and then even more shit hits the fan.

Those Hornet VTOLs were annoying. Largely because the control scheme is a bit messed up, and the description in the rebinding is the opposite of what it says it does (the "vehicle action 1" button that's described as controlling descending actually does the ascending. The descending is done by the "hover" button). Still, those Scarab fights have been epic. 4 of them downed so far, but not a single one was boring.

My one gripe are the terminals. After the pure epicness that were the cutscenes they unlocked in Halo 2A, this just seems really meh. And confusing.
I don't need an overall graphic overhaul, I think 3's visuals hold up nicely; but, man, it's be cool to have some more Blur cutscenes, lol

Man... the "Cortana" level is giving me major "System Shock 2- The Body of The Many" vibe. The Flood has become annoying again (worst Flood- centric level since The Library in Halo 1).

EDIT: Ok, and done. The last level was... alright. Fighting up the tower was so-so; the warthog escape was nice, but overall, it lacked the oomph.

"The Ark" and "The Covenant" back-to-back are probably peak Halo campaign moments for me. Reach had some moments that come close, though.

Picking up the "Dark Souls but Dead Space" game, Hellpoint next week, but in the meantime gonna check out that "Devolverland Expo" thingy. Then... probably try smth else before Hellpoint hits.

15 more days until HZD is out on PC.

So this whole No Man's Sky thing got a whole lot shorter.

Playing co-op with a mate, I found a Portal so he went through and I used the anomaly to teleport to him and see how much closer to the galaxy core we were.

Well, the planet we found the Portal on was 650,000ly away. The new one? 5k. We skipped over 645k light years.

Madness. Of course Portal meant he couldn't stick a base down but as I'd come from the anomaly, I could. Cheeky Base was born.

We are going to try something like this to cheese Permadeath, except he is more worried about playing it, so I am gonna just get a save where every so often I can make a base and if he dies I am the checkpoints.

Finished The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter on Friday. Fabulous, a worthy ending to the story. I'll miss Estelle, even though I know she and Joshua turn up in the other games. Possibly my favourite female character in a game ever.

Now started on Trails in the Sky The 3rd, which is a separate story in the same world with different lead characters.

Started chopping my way thru Hellpoint.

Mostly basic zombies, since whenever I encounter a more elite enemy< i tend to get one-shotted.

I killed the 1st boss though, and now I have access to a "hub" where I can craft stuff and catch my breath. My next objective appears to be the same level that was featured in the demo. This should be interesting.

13 hours into Hellpoint, I've hit a typical Soulslike brick wall- The Master of Puppets, aka the boss of Port Issoudun, the same area I explored in the demo. Mind, when I killed him in the demo I was level 109 (according to my save); I started exploring the area as a level 20-something, with VERY starter gear, so I'm probably still severely under-levelled for this, haha. But I'm feeling stubborn, and I already got him to a third of his HP once, so might as well keep sequence breaking, lol

The jank is real, and the camera sucks when you get trapped against walls- same as any 3rd person action game, really. What drives me nuts is the lock-on, though- when facing a group of enemies, the game tends to pick the ones farthest away, and stick to those, even though there's 3 enemies right in my face, doing immediate damage. That gets exhausting quickly.

Nevertheless, exploring is fun, and in general combat's all right. Enemy designs are pretty fantastic, and I'm settling into a farming routine, hoovering up axions and watching those numbers grow.

Edit: after some more grinding, I levelled up enuff HP to make surviving a possibility. I abnormally learned the boss' patterns. Suffice to say, I killed him, gaining access to one of the late game areas... while still rocking basically starter gear (though I did upgrade my armor earlier).

Now that I've ventured into more early-game areas, my Lvl 70-something char suddenly feels a bit OP.

Played a couple rounds of Fall Guys. It's free with PS+.

It's okay. It's fun and colorful and low risk. I'm just not sure that there's anything to keep you playing after 20 minutes. There's no real progression other than the cosmetics. I'm not competitive enough to desperately want to get 1st place.

Might be more addictive as a co-op game.

Killed a second space demon god thingy.

This one was into fireballs, so my Enthropic Railgun (that basically freezes stuff) allowed me to kill him in about 5 tries. He had a fuckton of HP, though.

Now all of a sudden enemies from later on in the game are replacing the fire demons... But I already killed their master! Lol.

I sitting at 95% of data located; and I still have at least 2 full zones to explore!

8 hours into Aloy's robo-hunting adventure. Just got promoted to Seeker and sent out to explore the big wide world.

PC port is certainly unpolished, but my rig's got enough juice to brute force a good 1080p picture. Looking forward to playing more tomorrow, the story seems cool.

I've been playing some Paper Mario Origami King.

I've never played any of the Paper Mario games so I don't know what to expect but so far it's very cute, low stakes and kinda funny in a children's game kind of way.
