Yep, Sue is actually the most expensive dinosaur fossil ever sold. I'll need to stop by sometime when I'm in Chicago.

What you'll see is a partly replica (particularly the skull), but it's glorious.
It's truly a nice, nice dinosaur to look at and it's a centerpiece of the museum. The actual skull is on a walkway above and off to the side of the skeleton and can be looked at in detail.
My old profile picture was of me next to Sue. I kept it for years due to the Dresden connection, but I don't think anyone called me on it.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Sue is presently my screen background. Saw her in Chicago this summer. Totally worthwhile.
...Her part anyways... The rest of the museum is ok.

Rather disappointed to see that no one in that article mentioned the Dresden connection. Now if only more people read more Dresden, especailly paleontologists, I am sure they would go around finding way more dinosaur fossils and the world would be a brighter, happier place.
On a side note, its nice to see a Dresden thread that doesn't complain about the books so much.

We took a picture next to her at the first Chicago meet-up....
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
