I think they do away with the Episode numbers in the future to avoid any confusion if they go this route? That would be my guess.

Can I make a suggestion? We currently have seven live Star Wars threads on the front page of Movies TV and Music. Would it be possible and logical to make a subforum for the beast?

Most of the star wars threads will now naturally sink back down the list as he (probably) switches to watching FBoy Island and Sexy Beasts next month. And sure, eventually someone will come along and watch Clone Wars next year and QT will want to cheer them on, but I don't think those threads are so active we need an entire subforum for them, unless they consistently remain active for a much longer time.
