A $17 microphone and $50 speaker setup later and I'm all set to continue the Friday night tabletop RPG via Discord and roll20. Probably should have done this years ago when I was up in Townsville.
On the other hand I was always too shattered at the end of the week by work to contribute much to the game in those years anyway.

Mr PigDog went to bed, left his expensive whisky unattended. He's already agreed to get up with the sprog tomorrow.

It's lucky because I was considering killing him due to our incompatible approaches to food shopping and cooking during an apocalypse. He's on borrowed time.

Social distancing so hard he doesn't even want to risk catching a computer virus?
He hasn't been on since ... December. So for all the hipsters out there, he was doing this long before it became a thing.

Saw two cottontails chasing each other in the yard this morning. They have that Spring friskiness reawakening! I was struck by it more then I probably would have given the times we are living, and I actually got a little bit soppy. The timing of it, to occur this week leading up to Easter Sunday, also had a profound impact in me. A silver lining in all of this, because normally I would be at my desk in the office.

I just had a serious conversation with my 8 year old daughter about which would be faster, a roadrunner or a cheetah, during which I explained how it would depend on the distance of the race. LOL I love talking to kids.

Honestly I'm very grateful that for once the weather has been great throughout the current restrictions. Mrs Tiste has been able to play out with our toddler (he's 17 months old!!) and hasn't gone stir crazy.

I also recognise the privilege I have in having a garden.

Gave my kid the hosepipe this afternoon and rescinded all responsibility. Only ended up mildly soaked so I'm calling it a success. Added bonus of some going over the fence and nearly getting the neighbours who keep playing horrific early 90s dance music at loud volume.

Yeah I wish my annoying neighbours played early 90s dance music instead of the utter tripe they usually blast out...

At least your child is being exposed to the good stuff at an early age.

Unlike my new neighbors blasting and karaoke n shitty rap music shaking the very foundations of the houses around here...id love some 90’s tunes instead.

What you want is loud karaoke OF early 90s stuff.
