These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just INDICATED the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President. THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK
ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!

@realDonaldTrump's post | Truth Social

'INDICATED'---lol....

It's been 47 minutes and he still hasn't corrected it. Guess he thinks the spelling errors add to the appeal....

Never seen attack before? Wasn't there some kerfuffle, back in the day, around some islands in the pacific ocean, involving some other people?

T****'s ego certainly hasn't diminished.

Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

A year and a half before Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg became the archenemy of MAGA world, his candidacy was opposed by [...] Hillary Clinton. [...]

The Manhattan D.A.'s office was being vacated by the prosecutor Cy Vance, who had [...] a reputation for looking the other way in high profile cases of wrongdoing by the rich and powerful, including those of Harvey Weinstein and the Trump family; he was also known for accepting campaign donations from defense attorneys with cases he was presiding over.

[...] Clinton's formal endorsement of Weinstein[...] was both rare and sought after[...]

[...] Bragg, like other progressives in the race, was explicitly critical of the culture of elite impunity [...] Vance had fostered [...] Vance's bad reputation became nationally known in large part because of his refusal to take up cases against [...] Trump.

[...] Weinstein was less critical of Vance, and many backers saw her as a continuation of his approach.

That time Hillary Clinton opposed the DA who just indicted Trump. (slate.com)

Hey when the Qanoners and MAGAts talked about a "storm coming"....I bet they didn't think that meant Stormy Daniels hush payments bringing Trump down. LOL

Called it:

Quote

Trump has told advisers that he wants to be handcuffed [...] multiple sources close to [Trump] have said.

Trump wants to be handcuffed for court appearance in Stormy Daniels case, sources say

Although:

Quote

Trump’s lawyer insists the former president will not be put in handcuffs

Trump will not be put in handcuffs for court date, lawyer says

Most likely explanation: Trump doesn't want people to think he wants to be handcuffed; oh the 'deep state' is abusing him just like Jesus, etc.

One other remaining question is whether Trump will try to force prosecutors to have him extradited from Florida; if DeSantis approves it (as he is legally obligated to do), Trump could use that against him. Experts thought there was no way DeSantis would try to refuse... but lo and behold:

Quote

Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.

Ron DeSantis on Twitter: "The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American.Twitter

Though it's been argued that 'will not assist' might not entail 'will refuse'... ultimately being forced to approve the indictment would probably hurt DeSantis. Make him 'look weak' to the MAGA crowd at least, contrary to the macho caveman-ish image he's been carefully trying to cultivate.

Quote

Florida law allows for two different forms of extradition. One path runs through [...] DeSantis[...]

[...] "The governor doesn't have the power to stop an extradition," [...] "The governor's only involvement is to look at the papers and make sure that the papers are proper to issue the warrant."

[...] "He can try to delay it, he can send it to a committee and do research about it, but his role is really ministerial, and ultimately the state of New York can go to court and get an order to extradite the former president."

[...] if the extradition demand is legitimate, he'll have to sign it within 60 days[...]

[...] Trump could also contest the warrant in court, but would almost certainly fail to convince a judge [...]

Florida also has an obscure process that could allow the Manhattan DA to bypass DeSantis [...]

[...] traditionally thought to be used for a citizen's arrest of fugitives[...]

It's unclear, however, who does the arresting. The New York Police Department, which normally conducts arrests for charges brought by the Manhattan DA, does not have jurisdiction in Florida.

DeSantis Can't Stop Trump Extradition From FL to NY After Indictment

Just words. I’d think trump is likely to cooperate and go willingly. Resisting arrest may play well for a week or two but when the federal government inevitably drags him to trial that won’t be a good look.

If Trump thinks he can win the election (or the coup d'état), he may try to stall for as long as he can:

Quote

Criminal cases in New York typically run at a snail’s pace—taking more than a year on average to move from indictment to trial[...] However, that means Trump could be facing trial right in the thick of his 2024 presidential campaign, or even after Election Day. If Trump were to be elected in 2024, he wouldn’t hold the power to pardon himself of state charges, but he also couldn’t face a jury or even be imprisoned while serving in office. He would essentially be off the hook until the end of his term.

Donald Trump indictment vote meaning: Will he be arrested? What happens next? How much prison time does he face?

... then he just has to remain president for life. (Or arrange to flee the country before the end of his term....) Then again by then the statute of limitations for the 30+ charges might have all run their course?...

Guess they'll try to fast-track it as much they can... though:

Quote

How long will this case take to get to trial?

Potentially, a very long time. Trump has made it very clear he will fight the charges. He’s entitled to “discovery” — the evidence prosecutors have gathered in their investigation, including grand jury minutes, potentially offering a glimpse into witness testimony. And then Trump’s attorneys will likely file pre-trial motions to get the case dismissed on legal grounds before it even reaches a jury.

This.

The man is, at his deepest and most personal self...a fucking COWARD. His whole life has proven how much of a bluffing blowhard he is and how if anyone comes at him with force, he buckles unless he thinks he can get away with it by legally fucking the opposing side over. People talk about how he'll always fight you....yeah, if he can do it at arms length without fear of much repercussions...if it's a direct confrontation he drops back.

Look how much shit he talked about COVID, and the MINUTE he got it, he shuttled off to the fancy hospital to be pumped full of all the drugs to stave off series problems...

This man licked the boots of Putin, Wrote loving letters to Kim Jung-Un, and begged the CCP to help him get reelected. This guy will buckle if the full weight of the law comes to arrest him. No question.

Counterpoint - he has nothing to lose by going on all in on every defence his revolving door team of never-to-be-paid defence lawyers can come up with and backing it up with all the bluster and baseless claims and accusations and butwhatabouts he can come up with. He can't turn state's evidence, he can't cut any kind of deal that sees him not in prison or fined beyond what he has or exposed for the fraud he always was. There is a real and present risk of him being the republican candidate yet again and all he needs to do is raise enough fuss and poke enough holes that the right court won't convict him or the right court of appeal won't accept it or the mess of a supreme court that he is responsible for won't uphold. And all he has to do is yell and keep yelling and keep finding desperate lawyers dumb enough to represent him. None of this is beyond him.

Evidence: the last time he went all in w nothing to lose he was elected president.

You're right that he's a coward when it comes to his physical safety.

But forcing the New York prosecutors to try to extradite him would not put him in any physical danger. And he could apparently wait until he's about to be put into a holding cell to change his mind and agree to go willingly.

Some Trump supporters have been claiming they'll create a 'Patriot Moat' around Mar-a-Lago and shoot at helicopters or other aerial vehicles to prevent them from getting to Trump (they're asking what they'd need to shoot down a helicopter, etc.). If it were just a mass of people blocking the way IDK, but if Trump thinks there could be a firefight I'm pretty sure he'd agree to surrender. If his supporters shot down a helicopter it almost certainly wouldn't crash into Trump, since he probably has some sort of bunker prepared---for that matter why not secret underground tunnels to an escape vehicle?...

If DeSantis really tries to refuse to extradite Trump, they'll probably just have Palm Beach Police arrest him and bring him before a judge for the extradition route that bypasses the governor. Though IDK if Trump could delay or nullify that extradition by appeal to some hyperpartisan state or federal judges....

We'll see tomorrow. His lawyers already managed to delay it from Friday to Tuesday (the Manhattan DA wanted to arraign him on Friday, but Trump's lawyers claimed the Secret Service needed more time to prepare his security). They might not try the extradition gambit, but they're definitely going to try to delay the trial for as long as they can.

Seems he's heading to NY right now so maybe the shooting down of helicopters (I mean what world do these cultists live in?) will hopefully not be necessary.
