Gorefest made the following observation over on the Art section:

Not sure if this is the right place to mention this, but here goes. First off, fantastic work, a massive thank you to all the contributors. The Wikia is very impressive and has helped me loads throughout the years as a reference tool while reading the books. That said, I did notice that there seems to be a slight inconsistency in the layout. For instance, sometimes you get book references first and then general character history (e.g. anomander Rake, Silchas Ruin), whereas on other pages you get character history first and then individual book references (e.g. Kallor). Is this deliberate or simply an unfortunate discrepancy due to different people editing different sections? Of course it is not really a big issue, just silly nitpicking from a lazy abuser of other people's great efforts (i.e. me).

I think we should take a look at some of those pages and decide on how to present the information. Should history be at the top?

The Layout Guide

If you strongly disagree with bits of it then change them, if you weakly disagree write a comment on the talk page or here.

If you don't know how something is supposed to be refer to the Layout Guide or Manual of Style.

My intention was to start a specific discussion here about the presentation of content on those pages which Gorefest mentioned.

One of the main considerations should be that, where possible, info is presented in roughly the sequence in which it was revealed by the authors to avoid spoilers, i.e. info from FoD should not precede that from GotM, for example. However, biographical info (on Wikipedia for example) is normally presented in the order of how the events happened in that person's life, so we have a potential conflict of interest. I am not sure that a hard and fast rule will work that well.

In the case of Anomander Rake...

Should the opening sequence contain a reference to the drinking of Tiam's blood? Maybe that info should be transferred to the later FoD article...

History... I have had a look at it and as the article is just about him and the Seguleh, I have re-named it and moved it further down the page.

What do you think?
