On page 824 of the Bantam Books paperback copy of OST there's a line from Humble Measure's POV that says: "He would await the slips of paper inscribed with the broken circle".

What is this, I don't even. Does this have something to do with the Circle Breaker guy back from GOTM / Kruppe? I just don't understand at all.

Also, If Draconus = Morn does that means Draconus has something to do with the location Morn? Or is the name-similarity meaningless?

My take on this is that after actually seeing the reign of the Tyrant, Humble Measure begins to see the virtues of:
1. Ensuring the Tyrant does not rise again
2. Darujhistan does not need an overt powerful leader but rather a covert group of behind the scenes controllers like Kruppe or Baruk. So he joins the Circle-breaker group.

Of the top of my head, I can't remember any relation between Draconus and Morn. If I remember correctly Morn is where a K.Chain Chemaille warren rent was sealed with a Jaghut baby, but that's about it

1) Assuming you've finished the book, the answer is yes, it has to do with Kruppe. Kruppe gets HM and Barathol to make quarrels out of Dragnipur shards.

2) I don't think it has anything to do with Morn the location. It might be a play on mourn, but more likely it is a play on Drac's turning a new leaf or whatever. Morn=morning=the end of Night. Maybe it's an apology to Mother Dark re: Father Light?

OH. I don't know why but now it suddenly clicked. Circle Breaker isn't just a title, it's also what Kruppe and gang wants to do (i.e. break the stone circle around Darujhistan)? So now HM is part of this gang, taking up the mantra of the guy who previously held the title Circle Breaker. Gotcha!

In the deck of dragons the Orb (signified by a circle I suspect) signifies rulership. The Tyrant is a kind of manifestation of this aspect. It's in his mask, the stone circle, the glass orbs around Darujistan, etc.

I just finished OST and I'm surprised I didn't put together Morn=Draconus, tell me what clues gave it away? obviously I'm not reading close enough to figure out these subtle hints.

It's revealed they both have naked tattoos of Olar Ethil on their biceps.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It's talked about at length in this thread.
