Sounds like a sweet party. Glad you didn't need to live through a hang over.
I spent my day working out for the first time in 3 weeks, which should not have been the case but, a health issue came up that kept me from going last week.

Planning out my month begins now as my new job will be asking me to be out of town 3 days a week often enough. So I,m trying to make sure that I have enough time for school and work and a social life.

I guess that's a better resolution of that metaphore than having tons of pent-up potential but not able or allowed to shoot.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I'd never heard of that metaphor, but now that I have the image is quite app. Wish we had used it during The Contests.

Round on me.

Faced my first Q. C. in a hearing today. Think I did ok.

Afterwards, since I got to get home early took y bike and went to our first outdoor practice of the season. Then I got to bike home.

Came home, there`s no water left so beer was my only option for cold liquid refreshment.

2 pints later, and I`m a very content person.

2 more days before the long weekend, but I`m done all my important work stuff. The hearing I had today was supposed to go for 2 days, but we wrapped it up in one.

Oh and the Q.C complimented me on my work. That felt nice.

Happy holidays, y'all.

Spent a bunch of time browsing through my Spotify recommendations, and I ended up with a ton of trashy Europop on my playlist. Somehow.

It's a terrible feeling recognizing, something is terrible, but at the same time

1) it's catchy as fuck
2) I find that a lot of these euro artists enunciate their English better than American or even British singers. And the accents trigger all kind of nostalgia, since I spent my formative years growing up with unholy mix of 80s pop hits, 90s rock, 90s europop/techno, as well as most mainstream Ukrainian music from the 90s (which ranged from traditional folk-pop to hip-hop/reggae to turbo-techno to regular and alt rock.)

so a current playlist for the 2 days of work is almost half and half Offspring discography and the best hits of Groove Coverage with a bunch of random hits thrown in.

I've been in an 80's rock/pop groove lately. Fleetwood Mac, Huey Lewis, Springsteen, Mellencamp.

Also got spotify for Xmas, need to get that set up.

I keep meaning to give him my empty crown tops but I drink so little these days. So sad. :(

Our family are seasonal beer drinkers- it's mostly a summer thing.

With these rains and the weather hovering in in the 12-15 range (plus the lines at the liquor store due to the lockdown), it sometimes feels like summer's never start.

Normally, they'd be my third day binging in a row in a cottage for the Victoria Day long weekend. How things change.

I'm saving a ton of money from this whole situation. No commute to work, no going out, very limited alcohol purchases;

Which is why I do spur of the moment things like order the entire Futurama series off Amazon. I wonder how my PC plays DVD without a remote. I don't think I ever actually tried it in the nearly 9 years since I built it.

Hello.

My friends and I homebrewed a bit a while back. We should get back into it. My brother does to, but his friend has what is essentially a nanobrewery.

Darkwatch. You're that person I was always confusing with Sombra. I just assumed you merged and formed a new user name called Tsundoku.

One is from Canada, the other's from Australia

If they merged, he'd have to live on Hawaii

Hey, DW, good to see you. While you're around, question. I'm suddenly looking for a new bike, probably a hybrid. Any recommendations?

In terms of brands? Not a whole lot. I got my last one made semi-custom. DeVinci seems to be a decent brand, but it's the only one I'm aware of. They are expensive though.
If you go the same route find a well rated store in your area. You'd want to go with a lighter frame and ask for wheels that can handle gravel. Mine can, but no sharp turns. It was much less expensive than a DeVinci, and it is quite good and pretty fast (depends on the gears you get).
