Dutch Master of the Deck said:

But talking of Circle Breaker, what was the place that he was guarding? He was thinking of some evil that never should awake again. That left me puzzled since the tyrant is buried somewhere else

He was guarding Despot's Barbican. But this is probably not the best place to discuss this, as we sort of know where he's buried thanks to TTH.

explain this for me, i have read the series, put it in a spoiler :p

Spoiler

so you think the tyrant sleeps? or is trapped? do you have an idea who the tyrant is?

maybe i was just interested in what you had to say on the matter! no one has convinced me of anything, but i liked your take on things as above!
many theories, many ideas, none of them really needing to be brought up here. the tyrants has several threads dedicated to his identity

Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

Kruppe is indeed supreme, however, if you enjoy Kruppe...just wait until Midnight Tides...

Spoiler

that fact that kruppe narates the story shows he was aware of everything, there was simply nothing that he could control in that chaos. well, besides foiling the most chaotic and unpredictable force in the entire world.

mark my words, kruppe is wise to everything happening and will have a hand in the final confrontation, whatever it proves to be. he's just so sly that we don't even know what he's up to.

Hate Kruppe. Was far too irritating to read.

Pust on the other hand... Best. Character. Ever.

It took me a long time to find the proper "voice" in my head for Kruppe. Then I imagined William F. Buckley Jr.'s voice, and the dialogue just seemed to flow.

I too love to imagine my ears bleeding.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I really loved Kruppe, such a loveable guy whom some people might find irritating. Reminded me a bit of Neelix from Voyager, who also had a lot of hidden depth to him even though people thought he's a bumbling idiot. Definitely one of the most memorable characters for me in the book.
