I was just looking at Bob up on his shelf the other day, and wondering, not for the first time, if I should do anything with him. I mean, he did used to be someone's head after all.

Bob is a human skull that resides in my shed; before that he belonged to my dad, and before that, who knows? My dad is an artist, and he got a skull donated to him years ago as a subject, or for reference, I guess, by someone he was teaching. It has a removable 'cap' which is attached by a couple of brass hooks, and only a few teeth left. (And a pink stain inside from when my brother put fake blood in there when we were kids) Yeah I know how that sounds.

Anyway my dad visited a few years back, brought us a bottle of wine, presents for the kids, and a head in a bag.
I didn't want to freak my kids out (like I was at first) by having a skull on a shelf, so Bob lives in the shed.

So what should I do with him? Keep him? Or get him buried, or something? I was tempted a while back to incorporate him into a sculpture. Or wire up some yellow Leds for his sockets...

I'm on call and I'm bored so I thought I'd share.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Keep him, you never know when you'll need to conduct some ritual magic!

Whatever you do, don't ask him to recall his previous owners or he might become evil and kill ya.

Seriously, keep him in your basement and only let him out when you really need a huge favor remembering the recipe to some kind of sexual god potion for a night. At least then your stories will be as good as his.
If your cat wasn't meant to fly, why wouldn't they make them bigger?

I have a large cat. Luna is a 2yr old Maine Coon, should have given her a direwolf name the way she looks now.

I'll keep Bob, I've got some photography plans for him when I have the time!

Or a blood mug.

I mean, if you're going to drink from a skull, might as well be the blood of your enemies you're drinking.
meh. Link was dead :(
