Anybody watch this yet?

It popped up on Netflix yesterday and before I knew it, it was 1 o'clock at night and I'd watched all 6 episodes. I think it's actually a BBC production or something but it feels like something Netflix would make.

It's starring Stellan Skarsgård in probably the best acting performance I have seen this year. The rest of the cast are great as well, especially his partner. She's delightful.

I would actually advise you to not google the show or read the introduction/blurb on Netflix before watching the first episode. I just clicked it not knowing what it was and was taken for a hell of a ride.

Suffice to say that this show feels like the culmination of 20 years of British and Scandinavian crime dramas. The amount of emotion Stellan Skarsgård manages to express in every episode is something spectacular to behold. I found myself glued to the screen simply because I didn't want to miss the little details in everything that takes place in the scenes.

Yeah, it's a BBC show - it just finished over here last week. It was pretty good.

My sister watched it, if you're just looking for raw numbers.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Had been waiting to watch this. Well made British detective series. Reminded me of the Kenneth Brannagh version of Wallander as well.

Moves slowly, but it looks great, has a fine cast, and the performances are generally good to excellent.

I'd definitely watch a second season if they make it (and I'm guessing they will).
