This is the first time I've taken an extended leave from the forum in years. I may have been the cause of a Eclipse game failing (though interest was waning TBH) so hopefully folks aren't mad about that.

I came back today and realized I have no idea where to start. The one thing I *do* remember is that inane posts in the Inn are always an option

So what's new with all the forumites anyway?

For my part I have been raising my 2nd child (son) growing a small company, trying to finish a PhD and building a boat.

EDIT -- also, just realized that somehow I garnered the title of Malazan Artist. Weird. I guess that was for the 10min sketch thread.

You missed the Hall of Fame election scandal.

Once again the dark powers working behind the Malazan curtain conspired to rob me of my rightful place in the Hall of Fame.

Is there no end to their wickedness?!

The board was bought by the Kraft Heinz Company while you were out. It's still mostly Malazan but we're required to praise a Kraft product at the end of each post.

You missed nothing other than the vote.

Otherwise the Empire keeps meandering along.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I, as the new tyrannical dictator of this forum, don't remember allowing this stranger in.

I mean, will he be any beneficial to me?

Ahh, nevermind, I feel generous today.

Do you think he will have any problems with my current regime? Because I don't tolerate any problems. NOW ANSWER PUNY PEONS.

I'm just trying to make good first impression, don't ban me please

It also doesn't help that there is a Malazan drought. When more Malazan content eventually drops readers will flock in and the rest of the forum gets a bit more lively.

Glad to see you back CF & congrats on another kid
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Yeah Maark is fake Yorkshire! I may not technically live there but Yorkshire is more than a place... Yorkshire is a state of mind...

Also I'm happy to let CF back in he has a bar in his basement! Unless that has gone now... in which case forget you man!

No bar in my basement anymore, but I do have a kickass beer homebrew setup and a kegerator...which turns my basement into a bar of sorts!
