What is the Semk God? I know it says it was Jaghut magic that trapped him alive. But what is he?

It was just an ancient bloodthirsty Ascendant trapped in a pocket of Omtose Phellack. It wasn't named.

I think it's so powerful for two reasons:

1) The spirit has degenerated to be, essentially, all rage and anger. The strength of these emotions gives it power.

2) It uses the sorcery of the Semk wizards, and because it's so angry, it doesn't give a shit about their physical bodies. Therefore, it is able to push them past the safe threshold of drawing in magic.

Like the crippled god does to the edur wizards he "uses" they basically deformed into a broken version of themselves right?

Or the undead dragon does to Kulp in closing the breach in the warren?

On a side note do we know who that dragon is, or what it is?

The dragon was Olar Ethil, on her way to guard the Path of Hands.

But it wasn't her who used Kulp to close the warren. While it's not spelt out clearly, at a best guess it was one or all of the chained dragons in Shadow, likely the one aspected to Meanas.
