Hellllooooooo everyone, the sites resident publican here. I'm planning on having a second xmas do on the 27th of december for any that cant make it to the first one and also for those people that like me, cannot wait to meet blissy.

She arrives on the 26th and goes back on the 2nd so pretty much any date between the 27th and the 1st is doable if you guys cant make 27th. However, I must warn you that NYE I will be working behind the bar and the 1st I will likely be brutally hungover.

So come on down to this realities version of Smileys for all the fun!

For those of you that dont know heres the venue

I'll have a drink waiting for you :D

(if someone could sticky this id be eternally grateful and do anything you please) :p

bump. I'll be on hand to do readings with my homemade Deck of Dragons :D

You may think that I'm just messing around but I spent YEARS developing this idea in close consultation with Steve with the hope that I could produce something that was commercially-viable (ultimately unsuccessful obviously) so I'm actually pretty damned good at it, provided I get in a little practice between now and then :p

Coco, mal just brought the thunder. So now you have to turn up. Or otherwise be considered beaten into submission by a canadian. :D

I think Mal realised he hadn't directed vitriol at anyone for a while so he had to let some out. The more innocuous the comment, the greater the bile.

Please accept my apologies. I'm not going to make excuses - I was totally out of line and I unreservedly apologize. Now can someone pls. delete the spam from the thread?

We're trying to organise something here and don't have a huge amount of time to do it so random unrelated stuff is unhelpful. Surely you can do that in the other thread about Studly's pub.

Unfortunately this date is in that limbo land between Christmas and New Year when I am usually at some family members house that I feel duty bound to attend when I would much prefer to be at home. My non-attendance is confirmed forthwith.

I know it's an awkward time so completely understandable that a lot of people won't be able to make it but I will be breaking out the Deck of Dragons, the updated version that I proposed and received permission from Steve and Cam to use :p

edit: as we're planning a move back to Canada, most likely in Steve and Cam's neck of the woods, I may even be able to revisit the notion of producing a Deck for the market :p

Psssht! :p

Anyway, I'm not coming, either to this one nor the official Xmas meet-up, so whoever might have dreaded to have to deal with me, I'm out.

Might send some cards, though, maybe, if Mal and me can manage something in time :p

As an aside, I had to respond to this. All visceral reaction aside, the innocuousness of it IS what irritates me so strongly. For me, a thread has to have a point and I have had to admit that some threads have no point at all and you pour each other imaginary drinks and ask each other about your imaginary day and so forth so FINE, do that. But if a thread has a point then don't pollute it with nonsense. I realise I'm in the minority here and Tiste Simeon has the honour of being the first person to raise my ire on this subject but goddamit, I fucking hate when a collective line of thought towards a common goal is interrupted with what can only be described as twaddle if we're being polite.

Grrr, arrrgh. It is what it is. Maybe I'm wrong but I refuse to believe that.

Peace, wankers :p

Anyway I'm fun to be around - if you haven't met me it will change your fucking life and if you have met then you know what I'm talking about - so come to this gathering if you can :p

Well I for one intend to have a beer with Blissy at Studly's bar. Bliss is a very FRIENDLY person and I cannot imagine not spending time with her in London.

Wait a second here... you ARE Blissy so you'll be having a beer with me and Studly at the very least but you won't be having a beer with yourself - that's just odd. You don't talk about yourself in the third person in real life right? :p
