Hi all,

I have just recently got a Tablet and installed the kindle app, i prefer having a real book but i am unable to expand my library nor borrow books from my local very easily, so I am looking at e-books.

Could anyone reccomend some good e-books that are preferably free? Im new to this pasrt and to be honest i find the kindle app and store very poor to navigate and select books, so an alternative would be welcomed.

Thanks

DH

OP, your best bet is to subscribe to kindle daily deal emails and/or get one of those "cheap e-book finder" apps such as BookGorilla. A lot of the free stuff is going to be self-published, but there will be plenty of deals for books by more well-known authors in the $1.99-$3.99 range.

Also, don't forget things like the Gutenberg Project. All the books there are free and available in multiple formats. Just choose the one that suits you

Be aware though, that the books featured will likely be quite old, as in over 100 years old. It's something to do with copyright law. But you will have access to things like the complete Sherlock Holmes, count of monte cristo, shakespeare, charles dickens etc.

Have fun!
