Agreed. I was hoping it would be decent, but it looks damn good.

Quickly: do you need to have seen the film Fargo from a few years ago? Might have time to watch it before the show is on tonight.

That was a really good pilot ep. Best since I watched Breaking Bad anyway. Hope it can keep going like that.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

That's a shame... I thought the humour was set just right to balance the darker bits. '217! 217!'

Finally got caught up with the latest episode (new episode airs tonight). Damn, but this show is excellent. The connection to the original movie is brilliant too. This show is full of so much awesome, on par with True Detective and Breaking Bad.

I'm falling behind since my wife found the entire box sets of 24 on Sky. At least we'll be able to watch them close together when we get round to it.

I think we might start watching this now SHIELD is over. Love Martin Freeman & the setting looks pretty cool.

Daaaaayum! Got caught up with the most recent episode (season finale tonight!). Unfortunatly for Lester, what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. Man, a tour de force for Bill Bob Thornton. His ghost story to the father and children who moved into Lester's former residence was all types of awesome sauce!

Is there a second season planned? Thornton was amazing. I loved/hated him setting his own leg. Such a badass. In this time of anti-heroes, I am impressed that the writers carved out a place for him, even though he's not really an anti-hero.

Oh man! Watched the season 1 finale last night. Man oh man, this show is bonkers. Start to finish the best show of 2014 so far.

The funniest episode of the season was episode 3, which includes a scene where Lester and Mrs. Hess are getting it on, on the couch in front of the big window in her house, and through the window you can see both her none-too-bright sons taking target practice with a crossbow.

I sure do hope they give this show the "True Detective" treatment and keep the show going with a different story.

The first season was fantastic, so I have hope. But then we have the precedent, so far, of True Detective.

My dvr recorded the first episode. Anyone watch yet, if it's any good?
I wasn't really planning on watching season 2, but it was left on my DVR f/ season 1.

I watched it. I suspect there will be similar characters, especially some really stupid people who get themselves in trouble. This season is more adventurous visually, and the opening crime was really wild. I have real hopes for this season, and it is certainly off to a better start than something like True Detective.

I'm storing them to watch over a week or so without the seven day wait in between, so I'm avoiding spoilers and the thread until then.

(Even so, I couldn't help see the word aliens up there.. wtf indeed!)

I'm really enjoying it so far. Not comparing it to the first (there are similarities, but so far they seem completely independent). For some reason, I feel alot of sympathy for Hanzee. Maybe because he's actually competent? Posted Image Anyway, I hope he eventually gets rid of his horrid adoptive family and gets recruited by the cops. They could sure use a man like him... The UFO is weird, I can't think of any way it's gonna tie in with any of the other threads. Unless... it's really some weird government experiment that causes cancer??
