Mortal Sword of Oponn? If not he bloody well should be.

That is funny :-)
Destraint of the lady might be more accurate :-)

Mortal sword would be doing the gods will while the Destraint has access to his power. And the lad of oponn is not that likeable as he favors bad luck.

true but the way I see it it's the Lords luck he always ends up in the shit situations but it's the Lady's luck he always gets out of it.

i think destriant is a bit strong of a title, wouldn't chosen of the lady be more accurate?

Corabb does get pretty darn lucky in HoC, but I don't know if it's quite as crazy as the Oponn-touched we've seen before, ie like when Paran in GotM simultaneously deflected 5 different spears thrust at him. I could believe that Corabb isn't anything special and is just awesome comic relief!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I love the way Corabb goes from being this extremely rigid loyalyst fanatic to being the bizarre comic relief character that he becomes later on. Erikson does that stuff seamlessly and brilliantly.

Like when he rode into the BH camp on a raid, rolled over a tent, and stopped a crossbow bolt with his spear shaft? He was both loyalist and comedy at that time I think. I remember, going "Hold on, what just happened?" then re-reading, and laughing

Isn't it Corabb's avoiding a rebounding cussed that ends up taking our Ranall?

there may be a time discrepancy (or not cos I read the whole ten books back to back in a coupl emonths XD) but I think It's Corrabs natural passionate, intense nature that gives him both the rigid, loyalist and hilarious tendancies which are actually fairly natural. He's a rigid fanatic, but that intensity flows as would a teenager expressing their utmost devotion to say, a band, and when he begins to grow up (as through the books) the fanatical nature still resides but does so in a way that is funny and touching all the same.

I love Corabb he's probably my favourite minor character :D
