*SPOILERS!!!!!!!!*

I found the union of Togg and Fanderay completely soul-warming. Wolves are definitely one of my two favorite categories of animals, and the addition of the Ay and these gods left me excited. Getting used to the series and how seemingly random mortals hide the power of gods or the gods themselves, I was pleased when I realized that Togg was within Toc the Younger. Toc's early connection with Baaljagg left me fascinated and a little sorrowful for the image of an abandoned Ay pup, along with later learning of the depressing notion of two wolf god mates unable to find each other. The reunion of Togg and Fanderay left me thrilled. Toc's initial death seemed like a horrible cost, though (I had thought he was actually shifting into Togg, when the "cage" was being broken). I was fine later on, of course, with Toc's new mortal self as Anaster and how Togg and Fanderay are his gods now.

My, I just absolutely loved this whole part of MoI... :)

The bit where Toc hurls himself onto the spike to release Togg and the text refers to the howling of wolves gives me shivers even on the reread.

They are totally my vote for War Totem Prom King & Queen.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Hahaha, oh yes. The image I'm getting of a prom is pretty amusing. :D

The comedy bits go up with each book I think. MT was the first one that had me actually laugh out loud. <br style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19.5px; background-color: rgb(34, 34, 34);"><br style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19.5px; background-color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">Envy behaves exactly the way I would expect from an ascendent. (exactly what Apt said). I loved her interactions with the beings around her.

I loved the scene when Itkovian says,
"Your words invite a carnal flood!"
"And with it a collapse of your sour demeanor I hope!" The destriant, Karnadas.

But yeah the scene where Toc makes the sacrifice got me right in the feels too.
