I had some rochefort left, so I made a blue cheese sauce for some lamb fillets. With the last remnants of a white wine that was getting a little stale mixed in. Turned out pretty awesome if I say so myself.

Risotto with three kinds of tomato and parmesan cheese.

We got a load of risotto rice for free at work because the sell-by date has passed. Now I have 3kg of expensive italian risotto rice to experiment with :thumbsup:

I made a lovely angel hair with a simple marinara!

2 cloves garlic diced
1 pinch red pepper flakes
2T evoo
1 can San Marzano whole tomatoes
1 courgette sliced
2T fresh grated Parmesan
1T butter
A few leaves fresh basil and parsley

Sautée garlic and pepper flakes in evoo. Add tomatoes, crushing each, sauce from can and Parmesan. Simmer for 10 minutes, then add courgette, butter and herbs. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer another 5 minutes and serve with angel hair pasta.

My typical daily regimen:

- 2 glasses of tart cherry juice (one of the only juices with a low glycemic index), one after waking, one about four hours before sleep
- large bowl of frozen wild blueberries with 4 Brasil nuts, 4 tablespoons pumpkin seeds, Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, mint, miscellaneous spices
- medium sized bowl of guacamole (eaten with spoon) with 4 tablespoons of walnuts (or other non-Brasil nut nuts) on top
- large bowl of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 4 tablespoons minced garlic, 4 tablespoons pumpkin seeds, variety of spices, sometimes other seeds (poppy, sesame) too

- large bowl of beans (usually several different types at once, rotating varieties) with spices
- 2 steamed wild Sockeye salmon filets with vinegars, various spices

- up to 4 tablespoons soy sauce, about 4 tablespoons Chinese hot mustard, and at least 4 tablespoons hot chili sauce (no sweetener) distributed among the above

- at least 6 cups of cold brew coffee
- at least 2 cups of unsweetened, undutched, lukewarm pure cocao with spices
- at least 1 cup turmeric and ginger tea, with a tablespoon of black pepper
- 1-4 alcoholic drinks (usually whiskey mixed with water and/or a little tart cherry and vanilla)

Today I also had two small bowls of chia seed mixed with tart cherry juice and frozen mango slices (some half-thawed, others hot). The beans were a mix of kidney, great white, green, black, and chickpeas.


As far as spices go---I've recently gotten really into shichimi togarishi (which also contains sesame seeds and seaweed). I don't use any sweeteners.

(This is also why "the secret" is mostly bunk: vividly imagining having achieved your goals, and the pleasure you'd imagine deriving from all the resulting spoils, generally makes people less motivated to work towards actually doing them. They feed on the essence of their dreams, and feel too full to want to do anything more.)
