but the GotM contest distracted me.
Anyway Kalam travelling Rakaru to give the Book to Sha'ik.

Sorry Noobs, this pic is just too good... you're going to have to take it down so people stop fainting from the sheer fantasmic-ness of it!

In particular, I love the detailing in Kalam and his horse, especially the horse's tail and their shadows. The colours are absolutely perfect all around.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

It's incredibly frustrating for me to see impressive how you manage to create so much atmosphere in a painting of a sandstorm, which is basically just sand and dust flying around all over the place.

Wish I could do that ;)

and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Fantastic pic Nobbs, your panoramic stuff is really good.

Is Apt lurking in the storm ?
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

your choice of color and texture revive a lot of
the story as I envisioned it in my head

very nice

Really impressive stuff.
The landscape is great considering that ,as Urb says, it's just dust and sand
