I've started the NHS's Couch to 5k thing, and did my first run yesterday. Could skip a week straight away which was a nice surprise. Posted Image

Just googled it and found the NHS website. I take it that it's a fitness regimen intended to get couch potatoes to be able to run 5 kms? But is it only available as a podcast? A cursory inspection didn't show any pdfs with a nicely laid-out schedule or anything like that, except for the 12 week weight loss guide. Which I dare say you don't need.

Wights should be lost at every opportunity as well!

Couch to 5k - the guide as to the intervals for each week is there. It's a fitness thing for me - and as I've never really done any running I thought it best to start with something with planned out increases and see how I go from there. That and we moved out into the countryside in October when we bought our house - it's a good way to get to see lots of it on a regular basis.

You're right though, judging on how problemless the first couple of weeks intervals were for me, I would guess it's aimed at people with excess weight to move as well as fitness to gain!

I've moved onto "Bakkake 3: Not In The Eyes" today, and ordered the two existing books of Aspect-Emperor to boot. Hopefully he'll have finished Inchoroi Time by the time I'm done with them (got six Eddings books to get through after Bakkake 3).

With all the rage-invoking shenanigans of UK politics, it does make me smile to realise that I live in a country where one can actually vote for one of the following: the Class Party, the Monster Raving Loony Party, and the Cannabis is Safer Than Alcohol Party.

Somehow this makes the world a more enjoyable place to be.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

There was a pirate party candidate in East Manchester. Also I think there was some really random ones in South Thanet (Nigel Farage's constituency). Can't remember what they were though.

My brother was feeling really down because it's his 25th bday and the first since our mum died.
He said he really missed the crappy birthday cakes she used to make.
